Adorable place downtown on the corner of the main drag of Lisbon, Maine. We actually did take out but we were greeted as soon as... we stepped inside the place it felt like Cheers! Great variety of menu options (tender tips, tacos, sandwiches, tenders...)and sides (pasta, homemade chips, regular fries...) Read more

Just wanted a burger and fries. Fries were fine, burger tasted odd. The menu mentions they mix pork with the hamburger, which I... thought would be fine, but I think they use some type of seasoning (liquid smoke maybe?) Which did not taste good. Recommendtrying something other than their burgers. Read more

Stopped in for dinner tonight as pert of a nice long motorcycle ride. We were greeted by Jocelyn who turned out to be our... waitress. Jocelyn was a very pleasant and cheerful woman who made sure we had all we needed and explained the menu very well. Weordered what looked like home made chips but served as nachos. These turned out to be quite delicious. We also ordered jerkedchicken tacos and a burger. If I could offer any one very minor criticism, when ordering any meat that uses the name jerked inthe title, it should have big bold and beautiful flavors. This jerked chicken was good but the flavor needs a little something,Otherwise, it was a very nice dinner for my cousin and I. Read more

Have you read Stephen King?s ?11.22.63?? Turns out a lot of Jake Epping?s experience in Lisbon Falls was based on Stephen?s real... experiences. For example, the Kennebec Fruit and Frank Anicetti were real along with the root beer and Moxie. This is the newplace to honor Frank. The poutine was excellent. The root beer was nothing more than basic, but it was worth it all the same. Our server was great along with the atmosphere of the pub. Read more

This was only our second trip to Frank's and we won't be visiting again. The bartender greeted us when we walked in and kindly... told us to pick a seat wherever we'd like. My 7yo picked a seat in the back, close to the office. Almost immediately after weordered, the new owner was not so quietly asking the waitress to hurry us along. I had to ask that my daughter be given time toeat her food. Any time they'd cross paths, he'd point in our direction. Then the party starts to arrive and 2 of them sit attheir, I assume reserved, table and the owner sits with them. He mentions a few times to these customers "when this table hereleaves..." I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Why not just realize your mistake and ask us to move so we can enjoy thefood we paid for? We live right on maple st and it would be lovely to have a regular place to have dinners out but I don't wantto be treated like a nuisance while also spending way too much money on essentially Applebee's with a moxie twist. We have been living in the area for about two years now. Finally decided to take a chance and go out to eat for once! Everything... on the menu claims to be house made. I bet the sauces are separately bought then mashed together to make their "aioli". Thefries were probably the best thing that was eaten today. The burger that was claimed to be "house-made" was definitely B-S. Ifyou need to put must cook at 160, then it's frozen pucks. We were invited in by the bartender and told "please sit whereveryou'd like!" So we pick a high top in the back. Little did we know the actual owner was there! Doesn't even care to greet us.Just says hello. He was more worried about where we were sitting. As he set up a table for a party next to us. There wasn't thatmaybe people there to begin with. So we could hear you telling our waitress to hurry us out. Thanks for the hospitality.. Iwatched as the kitchen crew slowly came in for their shift. Just staring at us trying to figure out if we were locals. Greasyboys you got working for you. Never going back ????. I guess it's easy to keep the place open when it's the "only" place open tosit in a "pub" style joint. Read more

A Gem in the Sand... Frank's Restaurant if Lisbon Falls, Maine. All we can say is, We've lived in the area since January of... 2020 and tonight was our 1st experience at Frank's but it won't be our last!! Served car-side on Rt 196 in front of the CornerRestaurant by Frank himself and his lovely wife. My wife asked me an hour earlier, "Where can we get a Delicious Burger fordinner?" We googled that question and finally while at the checkout register at Food City, we asked our cashier, "is there arestaurant in the area who serves the BEST Burger around?" Her response was, "FRANK'S ON 196!!" We found it and pulled up intothe Curb-Side spot for ordering/pick up if it our meal. Called the restaurant and Frank himself answered the phone. The onlinemenu was mouth watering and we settled with the Bronco Burger for Diane with HOMEMADE RED MASHED POTATOES & a Garlic Parmeseansauce to go over the top and i ordered the Teriyaki Steak Tips Grilled to Perfection (chunks are more like it) 5 of them to beprecise smothered with Mushrooms & Onions!! Accompanied by Streamed Mixed Crisp Vegetables and the Delicious Homemade Red MashedPotatoes with garlic parmesean sauce to go on the top!! We found a romantic place to park our car, beside the water of LisbonFalls. We got halfway through this delicious meal and had to call Frank to tell him how much we were enjoying his food!! Istarted off with, "Frank, I think we've died and gone to heaven!!" The meal was THAT DELICIOUS!! We had discovered a Gem in theSand with Frank's Restaurant and Pub. I almost forgot to mention the Homemade Chocolate Mousse and Homemade Cheesecake drizzledwith Nuts and Caramel!! We now have a New Restaurant to visit... Frank's!! If this place is out of your way, it's well worth theDrive!! Tell 'em, "Perry Sent Me!!" You setting regret it!! Bon Appetit!! Read more

Found ourselves in Lisbon for an evening and we decided to eat in the area. Took a little searching but was able to determine... that in door dining was available at Frank's with a reservation during covid world; so we made one. The place looks a littlekitschy at first pass but dont let it put you off. There is moxie on the menu, but it is not ever present and the things it'sin make sense and actually appealed to me...moxie onion jam...yes please. The whole restraint as near as I can tell eats like abar. There is a long bar where people were eating as well as an area with elevated tables. If they had an area with standardseating I didnt see it. Now, on to the reason you actually go to a restraunt. My wife fell in love with the appetizer menu andwound up getting salad and an app. She got a Cesar which she described as the best she has had in years and I confirmed withthe waitress they do make their own dressing. She also got the potato croquettes which she loved. I really think one of mysons is on a quest to eat the most expensive thing on every menu in Maine. To that end he got the steak tips which I believewere. They were flavorful and well cooked (mid rare). Some of the smaller pieces had the start of being a little mushy, but Icant hold that against a restraunt, god knows it's hard enough to walk the fine line between imparting flavor and overmarinating at home let alone in a ready to cook kitchen. They came with seasonal veg carrot and parsnip both perfectly cookedfor my taste (cooked not soft) and fries. I dont believe they cut their own fries. Not a condemnation, there are a handful ofrestraunts I've ever eaten at who cut their own and produce something better than they would have by just frying frozen. Thefries were hot and crisp all I really ask for. Now we get into a more sordid issue...they don't have heinze 57. This is usuallya near fatal oversight for me. But covid has the world upside down, so I'm crossing my fingers that somew Read more
