Food was pretty good. Chicken was a bit overcooked but it was fine by me. Desserts were good and if you order then it IS made... fresh. But not sure about the buffet. All in all, pretty good place if you're looking for a more American buffet. If you don'twant to order and want the buffet, you're a bit better off somewhere like China Town. Read more
Half of the 5 oz medium rare steak I ordered was medium & the other half was rare, so I guess that averages out to medium... rare??? Homemade rolls are HUGE, but taste like raw yeast & are basically inedible. Salad bar is good, but the rest of thebuffet is pretty tasteless. Even dessert was not good... Well not a great one. I ordered the N.Y strip dinner. When I got the steak, I ordered it medium . It came to me rare. Waitress... took it back to have them finish cooking it. I finished my salad potato and veggie. Waited another 5 minutes before the waitresscomes back to ask me if I needed something else. My remark was where is my steak? She had forgot it. The cooks apparently did aswell. It came back yo me really hot . It was now well done. So they nuked it was what they had done. She did apologize ask if Iwanted her to fix it. At this point my answer was no. I just ate it. Now she did ask if I wanted to see the manager. I turnedthat request down. Yet I felt that manager should have made an appearance. I did not see this person the entire meal. So poorlymanaged is why this all happened. I do not blame the staff. This falls entirely on that manager. I will not return. I'm an extremely picky eater and have been spoiled by my husbands cooking for years so read this review with that in mind. I got... the buffet and was excited to eat lunch with my husband for his birthday, especially at a place that wasn't fast food -whichseems to be the norm for the area. I liked that I got to order my drink at the front and that the waitress (who was very kind)was quick to ask us if we wanted refills each time the cup got a little low. Some places take forever to get you refills andthat was not the case here. Dishes were clean, not always the case when buffets are offered so this was a huge plus for me!Cleanliness is always the first thing I look for in a restaurant. The food I ate was ok. Nothing special. I didn't find thatthere were enough items that I would actually eat though and even the things I took weren't that great as far as taste. We were in Litchfield Thursday the 21st. It was 8 pm when we stopped to eat. It closed at 9. The people working there were... wonderful. The salad bar looked very fresh, clean, and was good. We had 4 adults 3 little ones. The hostess, removed plates fromour table, got the kids drinks refilled. She was so sweet and kind. She asked if we needed anything else. You have a realsweet heart in her. This grandma will stop back on her way from Lincoln to O Fallon. Thank you for a real family restaurant. Read more
Definitely a great place to eat. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I absolutely recommend the... chicken and biscuits. So tasty and very filling. The dessert bar was another high point, everything tasted fresh made and madewith love. Read more
Consistent value from buffet with hot and cold food and very friendly and attentive service from this locally owned steakhouse... restaurant. Stacy greeted us with a smile and was terrific! Enjoyed the sirloin tips with peppers and onions. The salad bar &buffet has a large selection of very good food. Plus, you can request a baked potato, hot rolls and Texas toast. There?s evenice cream and several choices for dessert. Right next to the movie theater. I recommend a visit to Maverick the next time youare in Litchfield. Read more
