I find it surprising that anyone could give this place more than a 2 or 3, but I guess they have not eaten at very many good... mexican restaurants?.. there is not much competition in Lithopolis. To start, we ordered margaritas and they tasted a lot morelike Tequila Sunrises than Sangria Margaritas. We also ordered a cheese dip and it was about as thick as water? the salsa wasfair. The main course came, and my daughter?s meal was slightly burnt/scorched (I suggested she send it back, but she wouldn?t).The salsa verde tasted like sweet, relish and our chili relleno were like big thick globs of warm cheese in cooked tastelesspeppers?.. everything was rather bland. Mexican food doesn?t have to be spicy hot, but it should have a little kick to it. Iguess this was another attempt at americanizing mexican food? if you want americanized mexican food go to Taco Bell?.. it?s alot cheaper. So went here for dinner a second time because the first time it was good. We order are dinner and I ask and told the waiter that... I didn't want rice and wanted refried beans. When are dinners came out there was rice on my plate and I said that I didn't orderrice i asked for beans well I notice my wife's side plate which had both rice and beans they were runny not thick and when myplate came back the beans looked like soup and cold and nasty looking. We like this restaurant. The staff is always friendly and the food is always tasty. And if we feel like it the mood is ready for... dancing even though there are no official dance floor in the restaurant. We will come back again and again. Oh I forgot. Themargaritas do their job - yummy. Read more
