We were in the mood for burgers and this fit the bill (we did not want McDonalds or Burger King). We had never heard of this... local chain before, but it got good reviews on Google Maps. We ate around noon. There was no wait, but we got there at theright time as there was continuous traffic the whole time we were there (inside and drive through). We were greeted immediatelyby a friendly employee. We had a bacon cheddar burger and a black jack chicken club. Both were hot & tasty and a good size. Weboth had fries which were good too. Just had the most unpleasant experience ever! Will never patronage them again. I was approached my the Manager?s son and... totally disrespected. I, then, asked to speak to the Manager who did nothing but allow his son to take over the conversationand continue to be rude! The Manager?s reply?after allowing his son to speak?nonchalantly say??I?ll take care of it.? Anotherworker in the store stated, ?he is always rude like that and talking to people crazy, but that?s the Manager?s Son!? Customerservice is everything and listening to your customers is vital. I had lunch here 2 years ago and wasn't too impressed so I decided to give them another go. I had the double classic combo with... cheese. The fries were hot and pretty good but the burger was just so-so. It was just a bit dry. Not over-cooked but notjuicy either. Another slice of cheese might help or maybe a bit more veggies. I'll probably try the mushroom swiss next timetoo see if it tastes better with a single patty. Read more
I went to Back Yard Burgers on Shackleford for the first time in a long time this evening. My fries were excellent. Perhaps some... of the best I've had in a while. The burger, however, was gross. Yes the day before Christmas and all through the drive-in... I was shopping last minute things for Christmas over by Hobby Lobby... and decided to drop into the nearby Back Yard Burgers. I was greeted near instantly by a friendly and professional Alesha whotook my order and even shared a joke with me. After I ordered my blackened chicken club combo with Ms Grazi fries, I poured mydrink at the clean soda fountain, set it down at a booth washed my hands in the clean bathroom, then returned to await myfood. The booth, table and floor were clean and the napkin holder was full. After a few minutes, I had my hot and deliciousfood. The fries were well covered with chili and Grazi sauce and the chicken was well cooked and seasoned. I ate my food quietlyas a few customers came in, everyone was greeted well and treated with equal respect. BYB's food is almost always perfect andwhat I expect. This was no different. Good job guys.
