There were three of us in our party. I did not care for my food but the other two said it was okay. I found my cheese enchiladas... to be extremely Bland and empty. One of the others had a grande plate of some kind and said it was pretty good. The other onehad quesadillas ate some of them and took the others home. We drove quite a distance for other reasons and decided to stop infor this one. We don't need to do that again. The service was amazing though. Read more

First off took forever to get seated and it wasn't busy. Seated at table got served chips salsa and water. I placed an order for... a margarita. After 5 to 7 minutes waitress takes my order for Carnitas. Food came quickly, even faster than the margarita thatwas ordered first. The Carnitas were like dry chuncks of charcoal. The beans look like they been under a heat lamp for days.They had a crust on top of them. The green chili which came on the side tasted like flour and water with very little green chiliflavor. We were regulars at the Highlands Ranch El Meson prior to the management change. The service was amazing, and the food was... exceptional. We were hesitant to return after we heard it sold but decided to try it. Sad to say that we tried it once and willnever return. They have abandoned the El Meson recipes. I knew we were in trouble when the chips and salsa came to the tableand the salsa was tomato purée from a can. El Meson had a unique chili based salsa that you could never get enough of it. Myfajitas were grilled green peppers and chicken with the only seasoning of salt. The second meal was a steak and was the fattiestcut of steak we had ever seen. Needless to say, the wonderful El Meson seasonings were missing from both meals. Please considerchanging the restaurant name so people do not have the high expectations of the original El Meson recipes, food quality, andservice.
