Wow. I haven't been this disappointed at a restaurant in ages! It was just like eating out of a US Foods/Sysco trailer. The... waffles (which are positioned as a specialty) are no better than eggos (pasty)! The chicken tenders were certainly frozen andthey totally shorted me on "hollandaise sauce", which was more like margarine mixed with mayonnaise than hollandaise. Thepancakes were borderline raw (no color on the pancakes, practical pale). The burger looked again straight from the freezer withsome of the sorriest buns I've ever seen. They somehow managed to mess up home fries! They were cut too thick and not fried wellenough. I paid $20 including tax and tip for a single entree for one person. That's over an hour's wages for me. As we were traveling to Stanford, We found Country Waffles Livermore online and it was easy to find. We were greeted by the Mgr... Nick and was seat immediately. Service was excellent and the coffee was prompt and very good. Menu was easy to read and the foodwas THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAD IN MANU YEARS! Nick was outstanding and so was his crew. The two stars are not for the service, it’s for the food! Our server was friendly and nice. He checked in with us frequently... and made sure we were taken of. He offered refills and was very prompt. The food on the other hand was just mediocre. This is aplace you try one time and just never go back. The food did its job by making us not hungry anymore but that’s it. My burgerwas very soggy. It reminded me of a package of premade frozen burger patties you buy at the store that you just throw in thepan. It had no flavor and was just wet. I love Country Waffles anyway. I live in Fresno and we have one. So, I was really happy when my son took me and the family to... this one. I didn't even know that Country Waffles had more than 1 store. Well, it was worth finding out. This location wasspotless. The employees all had their smiles on. The bathrooms were also really clean. My go-to breakfast is Eggs Benedict.And these were excellent. You will love this restaurant. Read more
Me and my coworker ordered 2 orders of biscuits and gravy, per the picture when ordering online, it was 2 biscuits with 2... sausages. It also showed that exact picture if putting in an order on door dash. We received one biscuit with gravy each. As formy side of fruit it was literally a whole banana cut up that looked like it was cut up the night before, one apple slice alsobrown and 3 little cantaloupe slice. Extremely disappointing.
