Went here for lunch on Thursday with 2 friends. This was not authentic Afghan food. Ordered the combo platter for an... appetizer, the Bolani, sambosa we?re very oily and greasy. Afghan Ravioli (ashak) was ok. Entrees we?re okay, we had chickenkabob, beef curry, and chicken korma (curry). Overall I was dissatisfied with the food, for not being authentic Afghan cuisine. Also the food was way over priced. We spent over a hundred dollars just for lunch. I know restaurants suffered during covidbut does not mean you over price your menu for highway robbery. Service was below average and check was brought with 18%,25%and 30% tip suggestions. As if one cannot figure this out. Again disappointed experience for myself and 2 friends whom Itook there to experience Afghan food. They should concentrate on offering authentic Afghan food, quality food , better pricesand service. This was our first time eating Afghan so we have nothing to compare it to. It was delicious, not spicy and very interesting. We... got the chicken and goat. We would eat here again. Read more

Excellent Afghan restaurant in Livermore, CA. I ordered the Bulanee Katchalu appetizer: ground lamb, mashed potatoes, and herbs... stuffed turnover. The entrée was a combination kabob: lamb and beef with brown rice and a side of Boranee Kadu: sautéedpumpkin topped with yogurt and meat sauce. The Afghan Cardamom Tea was also really flavorful! Had takeout in person order ~15 min wait. The mantu is delicious - it's an absolute must and comes in both appetizer or entree... form, and the chicken dishes are v filling. One of the best Afghan restaurants I've ever been to and I come from Toronto, ON,Canada which has a strong base of amazing Afghan restaurants. Also comes with Afghan bread and a salad. Read more

I made my own sampler from the appetizer section and couldn?t have been happier. Everything was absolutely fresh and sitting out... on the patio on a beautiful sunny day, it really was an ideal afternoon; interestingly enough, today was the first day of falland it felt like summer still! The mantu here had more vegetable variety than any other place I tried and the sambosa what isevidently just made so it was perfectly hot and crisp! I forget the name of the eggplant medallions but they too weredelicious. Totally fair prices for the quality and ambience! Downtown Livermore is a pleasant stroll as well! Please comesupport this local restaurant and enjoy the surroundings! Read more

Really delicious! We went for lunch and sat out on the front patio. They start you with a nice little salad and also give you 3... sauces, two of which are nice and spicy (read: super spicy, I just happen to love super spicy). I had the lamb with spinach(sabzi challaw) which was excellent! The lamb was super tender and flavorful, and there was a lot of delicous sautéed spinachon top. My mom got the vegetarian platter which included spinach, pumpkin, and eggplant (Sabzi, Kadu and Badenjan) topped withyogurt. She said it was really good! We also got the goush-e-feel which is a fried pastry dessert. Good but very large and I wasalready super full from my lunch. The Afghan bread is lovely as well! We'll be back for sure! Read more

Was bummed that they didn?t have vegetarian Bolani. However, the food we ordered was tasty. Bread served was cold. The sauces... were tasty. Complimentary salad was fine, dough drink was yum. Kids loved Salmon And chicken kebab. Would come back here andrecommend to try at least one time if not more. Read more

Simply delicious Indian/middle eastern style food (forgive me, this is my first impression of Afghan food). Small and family... owned. The lamb Korma and the tomato chicken dish had very delicate flavors and super tender meat. Prices (had lunch menu) arevery reasonable ($11 to $14 entrees) but probably a few $ more for dinner. Still not bad for a white tablecloth restaurant inthe center of the downtown street. Will definitely return. Read more
