Ultra thin pizzas are always such a crapshoot. Either they'll be so thin that slices flop hopelessly under its own weight, or... the crust will taste more like tomato sauce and cheese on a cracker. But YouTube's famous pizza reviewer, Dave Portnoy, gaveCalabria's thin pizza such an uncharacteristically high 8.9 that we had to find out for ourselves. (Note: the restaurant hassince updated the menu and renamed it the 'Dave Portnoy Thin Pie'). In short, it's as good as advertised. I'm not sure whatkind of wizardry goes into creating a crust that's thin, tasty, AND structurally stable enough to maintain its rigidity under agood layer of cheese, but that's precisely what we had here. I especially appreciated the shorn fresh basil on top of the pie.Our family also managed to polish off two other thin pies in record time - a Margherita and a white pie with so much garlicflavor that no amount of mints could disguise our postprandial breath (not that any of us were complaining). I wish I'd thoughtto capture a shot of the fried calamari, which are such an unsung hero on Calabria's menu. Here, they're meaty and lightlybattered, with a surprising number of the leg pieces (not my usual preference, but they're done so well that I didn'tmind). The restaurant is on the larger side, with two generously-sized dining spaces. Service was prompt, efficient, andcourteous and our food came to the tables piping hot in under ten minutes. A stellar place for standup pizza! Read more

Had to stop by and witness for myself. Me and my friend had the DP crunchy thin and the Pomodoroni pizza. The crunchy thin was... really good. The Pomodoroni was good I just wish it was in a thicker crust. But all in all really good food and great service.Definitely worth a try! Read more

This place continues to improve! Growing up in the 90's, this was my family's go-to pizza spot. It's always been great. ... However, since the pandemic, Calabria has absolutely no competition in the immediate area. The Crunchy Thin pies are simplyexceptional. Please, try them all. The regular is a baseline of crunchy perfection...the sauce, cheese, and crust are all inperfect proportion. The upside down is remarkable, fresh and light. The Mike's Hot Honey Pepperoni might be the best pizzaI've had in my life. Can't wait to try the Dino, the Grandma, and the Diavola. As great as the food is, the staff and ownersare even more amazing. They make you feel like family! Whether it's a pizza, a sandwich, a drink, or a full dinner, you won'tbe disappointed with Calabria's. Thanks to the owners for being a fixture in our community for 40 years! Read more

Went to Calabria with my boyfriend last weekend (we are into pizza!) and had the absolute best time! Antonio and Gabriella were... immediately welcoming, and excited that we traveled an hour and half from South Jersey to try Calabria. We had a 1/2 and 1/2with pep and hot honey, and Antonio brought us a slice of "upside down" to try as well. Honestly, it some of thebest pizza I'veever had; wouldn't change a thing about it, absolutely 10/10. Cocktails were also amazing, and I really loved swapping pizzarecipes with Gabriella! We truly felt like old friends from the moment we stepped in, and the food awesome. We will be back!Definitely recommend! Read more

I met with my brother (we grew up next town over in West Orange) and we went because David from Barstool Sports/ One Bite Pizza... Reviews gave it a 8.9, it lived up to its billing. Some beers available, nothing crazy. They had a balsamic wings on the menuthat tasted exactly like Filipino chicken adobo (IFKYK, and it brought back memories). The calamari was fried perfectly crispy. I wish I remembered to take pics of the pizza, but it was honestly that good, that crispy, that tasty, that my brother and Idevoured it after apps before remembering to take a pic. If you live in northern NJ or within 20 miles of Livingston this isdefinintely a must hit. Read more
