Great bagels - terrible service. They seem to go out of their way to avoid eye contact behind the counter so as not to be the... one to help a customer. Workers prioritize mobile orders over in-person service. It should not take 20 minutes to get 3 plainbagels with cream cheese when I?m the only person in line and there?s 5 people working. Read more

Staff is quite rude. What's the point of ordering via text when you still have to come in and make your own drink? It's hard to... support locally owned businesses sometimes. To add to your reply, I would spend more time training my staff on how to be morecourteous to customers as opposed to waiting for the customer to alert you when there's a specific problem. Not everyone hasthat kind of time. It's easier to stop patronizing you then. Also, I still had to get in line even after ordering via text. Ike's IS our bagel and breakfast source in the Livingston area. The excellent bagels remind me of New York City of years past.... With a wide array of cream cheese spreads available Ike's is the best choice for bagels in town. They also do a great job withvarious other breakfast items - egg sandwiches (on a bagel or toasted bread), wraps, omelets, pancakes, french toast. And a goodselection of deli sandwiches for lunch. Portions are typically large for a deli. Try their Asiago bagel! A bagel draped withAsiago cheese that must be baked because the cheese is melted all over the bagel. A delicious treat. Their coffee is quite goodalso. Try the cold brew! Eat in or take out - your choice. They also belong to the Friends of the Livingston Library merchantsprogram. Friends' members can show their membership card and receive a discount! Plenty of free parking - Ike's is in theshopping center with Wine Legend, Aldi's supermarket, and Mezza Mediterranean restaurant. Read more
Everyone knows about the staff turnover and service being slow. I looked past it because the bagels are great. I looked past one... of the guys behind the counter wearing a tank top during the summer exposing his chest hair (which had poppy seeds in it) butthis morning, one of the more competent and consistent ladies behind the counter dropped a bagel on the floor. Let it sit for asecond to not make it obvious and then proceeded to pick it up and bag it in someone?s order. (If management is interested inmore details. Check your cameras around 9:08am. Having lived in NYC for few years, I expect my bagel to taste a certain way. This bagel was not just delicious but the bread to... cream cheese ratio was on point with a dollop of cream cheese stick in between. Came here on route to a early soccer game andthis was a perfect start to the day. Will definitely eat here if I am around here. Highly recommend for bagel n cream cheese. Read more

Bagels were great. Definitely have some misgivings about the cleanliness here though. The coffee station was a mess and it was... well after the breakfast "rush" and the overall interior looks in need of a good "once over". Tables left dirty, floor notswept. I've worked in the restaurant/hospitality business a long time, this is key. As soon as the crowd dies down to get on topof the straightening and cleaning up. No matter how good the product, if the place looks unkempt (or worse, just dirty) peoplewill be put off. Just a helpful criticism. Read more
