Waited over half an hour for food. People who came in after and ordered food got their's before me. Did not ask if wanted bbq... sauce so ribs didn't have any on it, saw on recipe he put no bbq sauce after got home. He did not give me my whole order, forgotColeslaw. Will never go back. Read more

1st time at this location of chicken shack in a long time. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Broasted Potatoes & Cole... Slaw. My partner had The 3 piece Chicken Tenders with a biscuits and Coleslaw. My chicken sandwich was nice & Crispy on theoutside. Nice & Tender in the inside. The sandwich was covered in spicy Mayo & pickles. The Broasted Potatoes nice & buttery &The Coleslaw too die for. Reminds me of My Grandma's Coleslaw. My partners Chicken Tenders also were Crispy & Tender. The onlydownside was The 25 minute wait. I recommend ordering ahead of time & picking up or eating there. Was a walk in customer on the 4th of July. Ordered two chicken bite dinners after waiting a few moments at 7:26pm. The cashier... had to ask my name twice. The young man cashier kept disappearing to the back and sitting at a customer table on his phone whilethe phone constantly rang and customers continued to fill the lobby. We also witnessed several other customers return with wrongorders or missing items. After over an hour had passed, my wife questioned this young man the status of our order. He then askedthe other staff about our order, and we overheard them discover that our ticket was lost. Instead of apologizing and explainingthe situation and rushing our order to the next priority, he again disappeared to the back. After contacting another employee Ipolitely asked for a refund and explained our situation for the second time. While that employee was on the phone with the GMtrying to resolve our refund issues, to which the solution was to call me tomorrow, the young man returned and began gossipingwith another employee about our poor experience not 10 feet from us. He spoke as if wanting a refund was somehow our fault whilehe made no efforts to assist us or any other customers. While trying to be understanding of the busy staff and holiday, thatyoung man made us feel very uncomfortable by speaking poorly of us. Not a single person ever apologized at any point. Webelieved that our meal was never going to be made and we would be ignored. We left without food or a refund, and poor treatment. Read more
Called in my order, it was ready in a timely fashion. Food was fresh and very tasty. Much different experience than the Chicken... Shack on Northwestern Hwy. In which they totally screwed up my order and I had to wait forever for an oder that was called inand paid for in advance. Read more
Chicken shack has been a part of Livonia for almost 12 years and today was our first time trying it. I must say the place was... super clean inside, we were greeted with big smiles and everyone was very helpful who worked there ???? we really weren't in themood for fried chicken so we ended up trying the fried cod meal deal with home style potatoes and Cole slaw. The fish wasperfectly broasted and not greasy at all, although it could have used a little seasoning ( according to our taste buds ) Thepotatoes and coleslaw were pretty good as well. I am so embarrassed by this food. How can I possibly serve it to anyone?? I?ve eaten at this restaurant once before tonight... (this makes the second and last time) and the one on Woodward countless times. Normally I pick the food up but this evening wasmy second time having it delivered. I will never, ever eat anything from this Livonia store again. There is no possible way theydidn?t know they sent all the food to me cold. I knew it was delivered too quickly. The worst part is that the yellow butterysauce they put on the potatoes was all in the bag. There was literally a POOL of it in the bag! At first I thought some of thehoney mustard containers opened up because who ever heard of that much buttery sauce on potatoes?!?! Whoever did that knew hedid it and just didn?t care. There was so much of this stuff that all of the containers were covered in it. Not only did I haveto clean everything up but I had to find a way to get that stuff off of the potatoes before I fixed plates. I spent $80 and Ihave guests and there wasn?t time to reorder. Of course the food was beyond cold after I spent time squeezing buttery offpotatoes!!! Please trust me when I say I used half a roll of paper towel before they?d be edible. I?ve eaten at the Royal Oakrestaurant more times than I can count and I?ve NEVER had one single complaint. NEVER!
