Very displeased with our experience at senate. My friend and I went in to eat and were quickly seated near the back of the... restaurant by a young waitress (unsure if that was intentional seating or not). She got us waters and took our initial orderwhich was partial. We were then greeted by an older woman who did not introduce herself and asked if that was all we weregetting (which she seemed disgruntled with/ felt like it would be a problem if it was), we were able to order the rest of ourfood with her and she quickly brought us our food within 20 minutes and the bill 5 minutes after. We felt like we were beingrushed out of the restaurant while the tables around us were left to eat casually and without wait staffs snarky commentary. Read more
Being a born and raised new Yorker I look forward to my sandwich at the senate Coney island restaurant. It the woman who serves... me was beautiful and smart and funny. I enjoyed her sense of humor and our common bond. The sandwich I got was corned beef whichI haven't had in many many years and I was not disappointed. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant and the way the peoplehandle the cooking the kitchen is exposed so you can see what's going on and it appears that all the food is prepared fresh .The price was reasonable I highly recommend it Read more
my husband has been here several times on work trips and I finally got to travel with him and enjoy it too! Wow he wasn?t... kidding when he said this place is the best. The stuffed peppers were amazing and the moussaka was the best I?ve had! The pricesare phenomenal even in this ridiculous economy and you get A TON of food! Who includes dessert anymore?? They do!!! The ricepudding was delish. Can?t wait to come back as we live in northern Wisconsin and can?t get food like this at any restaurant nearus. Read more
My server was easy on the eyes, but terrible at her job. One's cup or glass should never be empty 20 minutes after sitting down,... and if your tea has lemon in It put a fresh one in it.I had a western omelet that was ok, a side of sausage gravy that had theconsistency of toothpaste. There is a table in front for check in, they had paper carryout menus. I promptly greeted and had my order taken for... carryout. The chef was on it, and my breakfast was done fast. Not greasy either, which is how I like it most times. Theentrance was awkward to find, as I drove of Plymouth road and then parked. You will need to pay attention as it is near theshops side of the plaza and not the street side. The food was very delicious and I plan sit down and eat, next time Im in thearea. Read more

First time in Westland, MI. Visiting family and ate here for breakfast. A locally owned home style cooking restaurant turned a... typical eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast breakfast into a feast! The potatoes are listed as hash browns but not the typicalshredded potatoes but home style potatoes that were the best I've ever had. Definitely will be returning on next visit! Read more
