Black Bear Diner in Lodi, California is a delightful restaurant that serves breakfast entrees at all times as well as dinner... dishes. The entrees are under $20. The portion sizes are substantial. We liked the meatloaf and pot roast dishes. The dinnerentrees come with a side salad or soup. The first cornbread are complimentary. After that, there is a charge for cornbread. 2 Stars for the young ladies doing their best . Felt very uncomfortable and out of place thanks to the locals and their constant... stares. Now as far as the food it was not so good. We had a party of 9 and 7 of us agreed we would never return. My chickenstrips on my waffle were just over cooked and hard. My orange juice was served in a dirty cup with lipstick on the rim. Themeatloaf is far from any meatloaf I have ever experienced and it was just not to anyone's liking at our table. The ice cream isgood and the burger was also good. Holy cow I forgot how good this place is to eat at. For 16 bucks I got a meal that actually became two meals it was so big, the... food was amazing, the service was top notch (our waitress was funny as heck) and the atmosphere was superb.
