I love this place! I always come for special occasions or just an evening out. I have not been here since COVID and now I feel... it wasn't the same. I took my daughter there for here birthday on a Tuesday and she had fun but was also disappointed this time.Our cook basically just cooked the food and no show. No choo choo train, beating heart, slicing the egg in half with thespatula, no shrimp tail flipping. Just not the same feeling. My food was overcooked and super salty and so was others from myparty. From beginning to end… Very rude host stand…not welcoming or friendly @ all but don’t let that ruin your... experience… Fun and delightful wait staff and teppanyaki chefs. Good food…go extra hungry because it’s a lot. Everythingkind of tastes the same, same seasoning goes on everything, it can be a bit salty at times. Good Sushi options. Good kidsmenu. Pretty pricey. Our bill included… 2 adults entrees, 1 children’s menu option, 1 sushi roll, no alcohol, $150 out thedoor. Overall FUN experience. Read more

Chef was amazing and entertaining Emilo is a fabulous chef. Food was out of this world. I got the Filet Mignon steak with... chicken fried rice. We made reservations a head of time due to valentine's day weekend we were seated right away and it was alsoour anniversary and i included that with reservations and they came out and sang to us surprised us with ice cream and took aphoto of us and framed it. Was a great experience and I highly recommend this place. My dinner was a 5 course and the cost was36.00 and you received a ton of food, that they kept putting on plate. I LOVE THIS PLACE. The reviews of overpriced food and bad service is 100% true. We went to Benihana in Lombard for my moms birthday. They charge... $30 for drinks that taste like juice! Their “Long Island” was weak and tasted like juice. We asked if they can remake it andthe bartender refused to remake the drinks. I’ve had stronger Long Islands at Longhorn Steakhouse smh. We brought a cake formy moms birthday so we arrived 15min early and asked them to bring it out at the end of the dinner as a surprise. However, oneof the waiters thought it was funny to tell the rest of our party INCLUDING my mom that “the cake is coming” thereforespoiling my moms birthday cake Surprise!! IN ADDITION, They charge gratuity that is not reflected or printed on the receipt sothey have the AUDACITY to write it in pen a suggested gratuity and adds it to the bill calling It a “service fee”. But theservice was not worth it. All of the waiters and bartenders were rude they were passive aggressively rushing us to leave. Forexample they were putting on their coats and jackets and sitting at tables across the room watching us eat our food. It was soawkward and uncomfortable. Keep in mind, The establishment doesn’t close until 10pm our reservation was 7:45. We ordereddrinks but waited 10-15 min for our drinks to be served. We were all half way done with our drinks before our cook came to serveus. A lot of our time was spent waiting even though there was only 2 other families in the entire restaurant. We were a party of10 the cook and waiter decided to write themselves a $200 dollar tip for a $500 bill. Not sure what percentage that was or whatservice the “service fee” was for because it surely could not have been for good service. Disappointed. But that isn't normal here so I'll give 4 stars. Hibachi is always fun, that wasn't the full issue. The... cleanliness of Benihana was aweful. It looked like a truck stop bathroom & I had to ask them to replenish the toilet tissue. Hada drink at the bar while waiting for our table and it was delightful. Have to they BH has a great drink menu, from huge tonormal size offerings. For dinner they stuck us in the back area, extremely cold. I had to go question them as the buzzer hadntgone off and it was past our reservation time. Floors needed vacuuming. My tuna was over-cooked, very disappointing as I wasreally looking forward to it. And seemed our chef was either new or didn't care much anymore. BH, please do better so I can loveyou again. I will say... my husband loved it. He's just a fan of BH and overcooked meat. Read more
