I was looking for something a little “loftier” for a special occasion and the Capitol Grille did not disappoint! We got just... the right amount of attention from everyone. Food was very delicious, a little on the salty/buttery side as American cuisinetends to be. Noise level was a little too high for my preference and that was partly due to the fact that we were seated in asmall section with a couple of cheerful people.???? I’ve had better experience when seated in a larger space. Service wasexcellent and I loved the fact that they scraped the crumbs off our table cloth before dessert. Read more

WOW! Let me tell you, I underestimated this place! I cant remember the last time I went to a restaurant and enjoyed every single... thing I tried! It did take us a while to be seated even with a reservation but once we were it was totally worth it! Gerry isfantastic and is a model to what excellent service and charisma looks like! He definitely added to the experience! For startersand sides, we ordered the Caesar salad, green fields salad, asparagus, au gratin potatoes, mac & cheese, truffle fries andburrata! Each one was absolutely delicious but our favorites were definitely the mac & cheese (I still dream about it), thesalads and the fries! I ordered the chefs choice filet and it was delicious and perfectly medium! I tried a bite of mysister’s risotto and it was quite literally the best I’ve ever had! We forced room for dessert and tried just abouteverything on the menu! Our waiter brought out a complimentary Seasonal Berries dessert and it was surprisingly one of myfavorites! It was my husband's and my first time here and couldn't have been more pleased. We celebrated his birthday of which we both... ordered the lobster with butter cream sauce and beef tenderloin. We got a sharable side of lobster Mac n cheese, rissoto, andasparagus which were all full of flavor! The steak and lobster tail both melted in our mouths! It saddens me to say this, but the food wasn't good at all. I don't live near the restaurant, so to go that far just for a... carryout says I must have been impressed at some point. I used to go there every year for my bday dinner, but this time theymissed the mark. My cheesecake was absolutely delicious, but the calamari didn't look like it was cooked thoroughly based on thecolor & texture after trying a piece. After putting it in the pan to cook it a little longer, it was much better, but my stomachdidn't agree & I developed a very close relationship with my toilet for the next 16 hours! ?????????????? Excellent service, great food, fantastic selections, and warm atmosphere! We had Niko as our server and he was absolutely... amazing; we'd definitely recommend him and will be requesting him next time we come back! One of our favorite parts was theleisurely pace. At no point did we feel rushed through any course and we were able to take our time throughout dinner. They alsodid a great job in making my birthday celebration extra special.
