Habanero Bacon Jalapeno Cheeseburger - Luckily I asked for the Habanero Mayonnaise on the side, it was very creamy but had... extremely little other flavor even though you could see tiny little yellow bits in it - I guess they grinded up habanero peppersand just stirred a little in. Definitely not the same as roasting habaneros and blending them into the mayo as a sauce, asthere was no color change and almost no discernable taste difference from straight mayo. The fried jalapeno had good flavor andheat which obliterated anything but the creamy mayo flavor from the dressing. I waiter asked me how I would like the burgercooked, which I replied "medium", I don't believe it makes any difference what you say as I still got well done, I believe themain problem isn't training, but instead is that the patties (2 -1/4lb, instead of 1 - 1/2lb) are just too thin ~5/16* that toofully cook them (165°) you can't have any pink left - just a little thicker than In/Out. The burger has no comparison to thevery similar Jalapeno burger at Denny's which is much juicier and way way better dressing. By far the best parts if the mealwere fried jalapeno and the onion rings, which were cooked perfectly, the onion was still very juicy, albeit so juicy you needto eat them fairly quickly so the crust doesn't become soggy. The service was very good though as it was ~3pm on a Sunday, andthe restaurant was slow as that was between normal popular hours. Read more
Great food. Clean place. Nice employees. The ribs are great. Good flavor. The clubhouse sandwich is great.
We usually get great service during the day. However, at night it was a different story. It seems that they are under staffed st... night. It took too long for us to order our food. The worst part was when they brought our food, all of the bacon and sausagepatties were burned on one side. The cook decided to place the burned side facing down on the plate. We were very disappointed. To make matters worse, the server, took too long to come to our table to let her know what had happened. In the end, they gaveus a 20 percent discount on our bill. They were very unorganized. I went for fourth of July weekend rib special that was from 2pm-10pm. I placed my order at 11am... online for a 2pm pickup. I arrived at like 2:02pm the host said they were still working on my order. I sit in the waiting areaand a big rush comes in online orders as well as people coming in and ordering. 2 other online orders that arrived after I didreceived their ribs. 3 people who came in and ordered at the counter also received their ribs. At this point I was irate. I wentto the counter and demanded a refund. The cashier says "you want to refund your order and reorder?" I said "No!!! All thesepeople are coming in and getting ribs when I ordered mine online 3 hrs ago for a 2pm pickup. I just want my money back!!" (Thetime was after 2:30pm) The manager came over and said what's the problem I go over the same thing and instead of refunding melike I asked he goes to the kitchen and say I need 3 orders of ribs now. He doesn't come back to apologize or anything. He has aworker bring my order and they say they are sorry for the wait. This use to be my favorite Norms location, but this visit leavesa bad taste in my mouth. Read more
I have visited other Norms restaurants, but this one was very clean. My waiter was very friendly and attentive to our needs as... we ate. The salmon was amazing; it was juicy yet crispy. The food and service were great. There was ample handicapped andregular parking. Definitely going back with the family. Read more
GREAT and FRIENDLY PLACE!!!! The reason I go here is not only the tasty food but also how friendly workers are. They check you... every now and then, making sure everything is fine. Simply amazing and kind place to be. You definitely need to try theirjalapeño burger!!!! The spicy will get you with tasty and juicy patty!!! Read more
After volunteering to decorate a tree for Torrance Memorial's Tree Festival, we were hungry! Stopped at a local spot,... Norm's. Unlike my usual experience, there was no wait to be seated!!! ???? (shocking but nice!) Our waiter Anthony was thebest! Great attitude, smiling and eager to take our order. I had the basic, egg, bacon, hash browns and pancake breakfast. Irequested strawberries on my pancakes...they were delivered without strawberries. Anthony walked by to check on us and saw therewere no strawberries on my pancakes, he apologized and took my pancakes back and got them the strawberries they were missingwithout me having to ask! ???? My guy ordered the T-bone and egg breakfast. He said the steak tasted not the best quality ofmeat but I reminded him we were at Norm's not a steakhouse.... Overall, it was a nice breakfast.
