I had not been to a Waffle House in a very long time. The food was good. The workers were friendly and fun.
As far as I am concerned, Waffle House's are a part of American Highway culture. This Waffle House met that high bar. If you... know the culture then you know what I mean. Pretty much they look you over, nod, bring coffee without asking, then give you the"know what yah want" question. You don't really need a menu, but it is right there on impervious vinyl. They understand and haveheard just about every combination. The fry cook is right there also, I mean you did sit on the stool at the counter right? Strangest wh experience yet. This guy with a shaved head repeatedly splashed soapy water on my face and food. Actually just two... times. My food server was Way on Point. There was a co worker of hers with freaked out multi colored hair and shoes. She's theone that rang up my order and refused to make my last cup of coffee to go when I asked. I'm awake now and fully engaged in myday. Loved it. I can taste soap.???????????? Read more
Food was acceptable but no one checked back to refill coffee or to see how the food was. The hash browns were over cooked and we... had ordered with cheese and peppers but they had no cheese on them. There were only two or three other groups of people when wewere there. The waitperson was friendly. Read more
Hey! This place is 24 hours, and maybe only a 10 or 15 min walk from the TA! They do have some availability for their own truck... parking but it's kinda tricky and tight...... A pet peeve of mine is going into a waffle house asking for a dark well done waffle and they bring you a regular light waffle.... Asked for 3 eggs and was definitely given 2. Toast was cold and I swear to my mom they served me cold, uncooked grits ???? itwas at a truck stop so I guess I shouldn't complain but that was some nasty food. Read more
