I was there to pick up a small popcorn chicken which was rewarded by completing a survey. The lady in the drive through was a... sweetheart. For some reason she couldn't hear me through the intercom. I was getting frustrated, but she was so calm andcollected. We joked a bit. To top it off, I only had to pay a dollar for the drink which was a requirement in receiving thefree popcorn. I had a hankering for some good old fashioned Chicken last night so I attended the drive thru here. We waited so much longer for... a simple box meal and two twisters than we should have. It appeared that they were possibly understaffed or some were on break?One of the twisters only contained chicken and mayo, hibby was more than a little peeved. The young man working did apologizefor the delay and threw in a couple of free tenders for the wait. I was just in a hurry so it did inconvenience me some since Iwas expecting fast food, but hey its better to be sure that your chicken is cooked thourally than to rush it. Too many times hadI recieved undercooked chicken from 2 separate Popeyes locations so I switched back to KFC for my fried chicken cravings. Reached here around 20:30 and the old lady at the counter was very rude... She just said that absolutely nothing was available... to eat when two people in front of me just ordered and picked up their food. It says the place closes at 22:00... Reading is very difficult for the staff here. When it says 5x honey mustard and 1x plum sauce, you will get 1x plum sauce and 2x... ranch. Counting is difficult too, as you can see, the 6 sauces order and paid for turned into 3 sauces, and the 4 piece box mealhad 3 pieces. One of the worst KFC outlets in this area. I bought two double tender sandwiches and a double tender snack combo. The tender... chicken was extremely salty. I returned the item and the cashier said they can give a replacement of same item for next visit. Iwent back today because they offere the replacement, talked with a manager, she was rude and said she cannot do it and come backwhen the main manager is in store. Totally ridiculous. Why is it when something that tastes so good is so bad for you? This is especially true for KFC. The leader in walking heart... attack fast food. It doesn't matter if we received bad service, if the chicken pieces are too small, too salty, too greasy, most of us always go back. This particular KFC, at 1683 Dundas St, London, is pretty much like any other KFC I've been too. The pace here is fast, robust and I was served in a prompt and timely manner. The restaurant is clean and tidy and all Covid 19protocols are followed. My order; three chicken breasts and small fries was given to me in less then five minutes, eventhough I placed that order at 5:30 p.m. Not bad, eh? Yes, the Chicken pieces were small... the new normal I suppose, but thechicken was good. One thing I noted while going over past reviews for this particular KFC is the lack of owner/managementparticipation in this forum, nothing, not a peep. Rose was an absolute hero tonight. I can't sing her praises enough; customers were being belligerent and difficult, there were... technical difficulties, and all of this during a sudden dinner rush. And throughout it all she kept her cool, she was calm andpolite with customers, and she kept her team organized and working while encouraging them and keeping morale up. She maintainedher good humour in the face of adversity and managed to keep nearly every customer happy and on her side. I can't imagine thewillpower it must take to stay strong in the face of that much hardship in such a short amount of time. From the brief thirtyminute window I got to witness her, she's the kind of manager I feel like any place would be lucky to have.
