Had a corporate event at the Marienbad featuring the Gumshoe Murder Mystery troop. The dinner was terrific! Herbed chicken and... Pork Schnitzel with potatoes and veggies. One of my favorite places to eat and drink downtown. The Hungarian Goulash entree is so very tasty, and it has a classy casual... feel that I find very inviting. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food they're serving. And speaking of service,I've never met one rude server there, great people. And if this matters to you, the crowd tends to lean on the older side. dowith that information as you will. But check hours before you go. The lockdown had a negative impact on their hours ofoperation, so just make sure that they are open before you put on your coat ;) Read more

I took 4 Visitors from B.C. to Lunch and they loved the Food and Atmosphere. I ordered my favorite Appetizer "Steak Tartare "... and it was wonderful. We shared the calamari, but asked to substitute the lemon pepper aioli dipping sauce for the honey yogurt. Our waitperson... accommodated our request graciously, and the calamari was very good. We split the jaeger schnitzel, which was also very good,and was honestly plenty for two people (despite many other reviewers' complaint to the contrary). The beer list is phenomenal ifyou like Euro beers, with very reasonable accompanying prices. All in all, we had a very good meal preceded by great beersthere, with wonderful service. Read more
