I'll start with the good; the ambiance of Company Bar was amazing. It has a true cocktail bar aesthetic and the servers... definitely know what they're talking about. There was the aroma of smoked cocktails throughout the space. The food looks great,and is presented nicely - nicer than the price you're paying for it. Our bill for 2 orders of oysters, trout, gnocchi, and frieswas $115 and if this was Toronto it would probably be priced much higher. The food did taste good as well. Now the bad, Ibelieve I got sick from the deep fried oysters. I was in pain for hours and did end up vomiting. My partner says perhaps it'sthe gunpowder (yes, gunpowder - the oysters are dusted with gunpowder) that doesn't agree with me as she had all the same itemsI did and had no reactions. In fact we had all the same things through the day. I, obviously, cannot confirm that the above iswhat made me sick but I have my suspicion. Overall, I did like the establishment but I am afraid to return and if I do.... Iwill not be ordering oysters... it would've been a 5 star if not for me getting sick. Read more
The dining experience at Wolfe Pack was phenomenal! Service was great - Cocktails were creative and delicious. We had a variety... of oysters but my favourite were the grilled with creole butter & parm. Tofu banh mi was flavourful would definitely recommend.Chicken wings with dry rub were amazing - recommend asking for their ranch and hot honey for dipping. Chicharrones were a funedition. Solid place for food and drinks. Can sit indoor or outdoor and they have lots of dishes to share with others. We ordered lots of... oysters, hummus, asparagus salad, gnocci, and chicken wings. The overall taste was decent, some dishes were really good andothers were mediocre. The mediocre ones, we wouldn?t order again. We don?t normally order hummus often but this place?s hummusis a must try! It was so good. The prices for oysters are a bit high compared to even Toronto prices. The value for food anddrink were alright. We enjoyed the wait staff. Our waiter was prompt, accurate, and personable. Great experience. Overall the Company Bar is nice and would be a good venue for a date night or gathering with friends. Based on my experience,... some menu items seemed to be overpriced. I do believe the Company Bar offers some of the best put together dishes with highquality local ingredients and in house preparation in London and it would have been great to know how special some of thesedishes during our visit. Overall most dishes are good. They?ve become more Asian fusion lately and those dishes vs. the classics are not good. The wings... are amazing. Salads amazing. The potato salad used to be amazing, but the last time we ordered it was horrendous. Interesting spot .. the decor, beer and cocktail list are top notch I found the food at brunch to be too over the top and heavy... handed, none of a group of 5 of us were able to finish our dishes. As an oyster bar and cocktails in the evening we have had agreat time here. Service was fantastic, they were short staffed in December and only one server to look after the dining areaand bar, but that didn?t affect the experience in a negative way. We?ll be back ! Read more
