The gentleman at the Seafood counter was extremely helpful. Also, the checkout personnel were both terrific and friendly (both... the check and the box person). It's a bit more expensive than some markets, but It's always a pleasure shopping in this clean,efficient and friendly market. Also, I am so pleased that the Long Beach store has the Renaud's Patisserie as it makes for aconvenient way to pick up a delicious dessert during the same stop. Read more
The atmosphere of this Long Beach store is especially nice. I always get a good feeling when I enter the store. So many... delightful things to see, consider, take home? products are great, lots of things not found in the usual markets. I go out of myway by a few miles to get to a Gelson?s?with Long Beach being my favorite. Read more
Easy to maneuver and Gelsons is quick to open check stands when 3 or more waiting. Only complaint would be the hot deli, not the... walk up package your own food, but where you are greeted for fried chicken, ribs etc. is always exactly the same food. Maybeshake it up a bit so we can take hot food home more often. Read more

Gelson's is a smaller grocery store than others in the area. As a result almost everything was incredibly easy to find. For the... items that I had difficulty locating, Ozzie was a great help.
