So glad to have found this place. The tamales are the best I’ve ever had. While they are known for the tamales, don’t skimp... out on trying the other dishes. New to the neighborhood. Love Tamales. This place just had a feature in LA Taco and we had to check it out. DID NOT DISAPPOINT!... Get there early or call in your order bc they are busy and in demand. I usually only eat home-made tamales and shy away fromordering at restaurants bc they usually fail but this place is legit! First time here and they did not disappoint! Got three types of tamales (chicken, pork and jalepeno/cheese). All were delicious... but the jalepeno/cheese was the favorite! The owner was so friendly and counter service was great. Prices were extremelyreasonable too! Will come again. We got some extras to enjoy at home later too ?? Read more
Tamales are good but they are starting to let the quality of food go down. Sometimes they are very good, nice and saucy and... other times they are really dry. Hope they get that under control. All in all good is good. Read more
If you're looking for authentic homemade tasting tamales - Nehemias is the place go for tamales with a good ratio of meat to... masa. So far, I've tasted the pork with red chili and their pork with green chili - both are very good!!! They started theirbusiness by selling tamales out of their van at the Home Depot parking lot off Cherry and Willow. To meet the demand, theyopened a store front where the make their tamales daily. You can place an order; you can pick up at the store; and you canstill find the husband at Home Depot. Their tamales are fresh! If need a dozen or more, call in advance and place an order. My family LOVES tamales, the texture of these tamales is AMAZINGLY delightful! Cheese n chilie are my favorite. Can't wait to... top them with fried eggs for breakfast. UPDATE: Came here on Sunday morning @ 7:45 am for menudo n tamales, They were CLOSED!!The menu says Sunday 7:30 am-5pm SO SAD! I always show up at the end of the day and get the last of whatever flavor tamales theyhave left. I wanted first thing in the morning tamales. SIGH Read more
