Rance's Chicago Pizza is a recommendation to me from a few weeks ago. During my experience, customer service is good especially... for a seemingly somewhat busy night. The eatery offers a variety of seating options; outdoor and indoor (high, low, hard, andsoft cushion) seating. There are televisions. I order the Gluten Free Vegan Small Thin Crust w/ Mushrooms and Garlic splittingthe pie though joining in the middle. The meal is so filling and really tasty, warm. The slices don't taste anywhere near asgood to me in the morning. Yet, the flavors linger, whether fresh out of the oven or hours later, so much; the aftertaste isamazing and consistent. Read more
Bad management. Good food. They constantly made it harder for us to get a table. They even allowed another party to sit before... us even after we requested a spot. We had ordered online ahead of time for pick up but we met up with friends and decided wewanted to dine in and order more food. They said no because we ordered online and therefore refused to put us on the wait listto dine. Our online food wouldn't be ready until another 30 mins. We left and came back because they didn't cut the pizza. Whenwe returned an employee mentioned an outside party just sat on their tables with outside food and the employee had the audacityto say to leave them alone in front of us. After we've been requesting a table several times. We reiterated our concern and theydidnt care. Was it the fact our party were people of color ? Who knows. Tried the deep-dish and it didn't fail. I love pizza. Been to many Chicago style in LA and of course the originals in Chicago.... This pizza was simply one of the best I have come across. It is like Pequods of Chicago down the perfectly baked crust. I justget simple pies when trying so this is only the pepperoni pie. Read more
I've spent years in Long Beach and don't know why no one else has recommended it, by far the best pizza in the area! The tomato... sauce is fresh and the cheese hugs everything in this deep dish. If you love traditional oven fire baked pizzas you'll find thatthe crust on deep dish pies are different. I normally like mine crunchie. Will definitely be back to try out their otherspecialties! My visit was around 6:30pm on a Saturday, so things were more of a crowded and busy circumstance. The service was doing well,... considering how busy they were. So, no complaints at all, good work folks. While I could imagine the average price range formost people being between $20-$30, I wanted something fancier, so my price range was $50-$60. So yes, it is possible to spendhigher amounts here. I ordered a mushroom, garlic, sausage, pepperoni, canadian bacon, and chicken, pan deep dish 14". Gottasay, real artisan quality, they pile on the toppings thick juicy and chunky. If you intend to take-out bring somethingwatertight that can contain a pizza box, I'm not kidding when I said juicy. Making the pizza took around 40-45 minutes. My pizzawas un-sliced, but I suppose that was done in the name of promptness to serve me a hot pizza. So I sliced it myself. Deep dishin this establishment is to be interpreted to understand that the pie itself is shaped into a dish-like pizza. Personally, Ifound this to be a bit of a disappointment, I was hoping for a pizza crust that is an inch or so thick. Sadly it seems not evena Chicago pizza place knows how to do that anymore.
