Food was great. Table service a bit lacking. Placing the order yourself so everything you ordered was in the computer system,... the table staff had to either keep asking us what we ordered or didn't bring things until asked multiple times. A tip isexpected (paid for in advance thru the app), and they add 3% additional gratutuity, saying it's to provide health care and otherbenefits to the employees. Gee, in the business world, that's just called a business cost. Why should different customers paydifferent amounts based on total spent for this mandatory gratuity to cover employee benefits? Was excited to come here. Food looks really good in photos but food didn't taste all that good. Food had a decent flavor.... Atmosphere is pretty nice, like the looks of the restaurant. Stopped by for dinner after a day at the beach. Ordered the grilled grass fed steak with roasted rosemary red potatoes and side... house salad. Great food and service! The dining room is unique and service model is different. But it doesn't take away from the experience.... You can smell the mixed aromas of food in the dining room, and from a safe distance see your food being prepared by the cooks. Read more

If you?re looking to eat healthy and you are in the Long Beach área Urban Plates is the place to go. I came in to celebrate my... birthday and I was not disappointed with the way I was treated. The staff was very kind and they helped with any questions Ihad. When I thought the service could not get any better Chef Felipe came out and proved me and my family wrong.
