First time having a seat-in dinner at Mar Belo. The first time I've been there we stayed in the bar area amd interacted with the... wonderful bartender. From seafood to steak, you won't be disappointed with the dish. Their sangria is a must-have. They arepricey so be aware. Place was neat. Service was good. Parking is in the rear of the restaurant. The restaurant is on a busystreet so it can easily be missed from the front. So if you're in the Jersey Shore area, in particularly Long Branch, check themout...even if it is solely for a glass of sangria and some appetizers with a friend, a family member or alone. Bonappétit! Update: Mar Belo is still one of the best restaurants in the Jersey Shore. I tried the dessert menu for the firsttime last night and it was amazing. We had the rice pudding and the flan. It may not be something new but they offer halfpitcher of sangria. It's always a good time at the bar if you're up for socializing. Read more

I grew up in Spain and and have to say this place is great! The mussels are amazing! Paella is good, but I wish they used short... grain rice! Pulpo is excellent! This is only our second time so haven't tried a lot of other items. Staff is extremely nice andattentive and it is great value. Highly recommend! Oh also Sangria is really really good! Read more

It was our first time at Mar Belo. The food and service were outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Our first sub par meal was Tuesday 9/6. Restaurant was quiet. We ordered an appetizer, waited 20 minutes and it was served... barely warm. We said something to a manager. Our entrees were served hot and were very good, not great. I love the espressocreme brulee. It was served cold. Just disappointing. When we made the reservation, they asked if we were celebratinganything. We told them it was my birthday and they never acknowledged it. Why ask then?? No excuses for this. This is the best restaurant to have dinner in Long Branch, the place was definitely good. We had a confirmed reservation and we... were sat on time. The waiter was tremendously kind and attentive, that's very important if you visit some restaurant with achild, because you know that's a challenge for the service. We are thankful for the kind service that we got. The food was very tasty, every bite gave us a surprise and with a glass of incredible wine, the dinner was simply perfect. The atmosphere iselegant and modern but with a touch of the coast. Warning... It's a bit pricey but extremely worthy. Of course, we will backsoon! Read more

First of all, hats off to the incredible service at Mar Belo. You are made to feel at home right away. Then there is the food,... it takes a level of self control to not lick the plate.
