Reviews for Neil's Kitchen in Long Branch, NJ

I ordered a whole Italian sub for delivery, I spent about $30 (tip included) which is a little pricier than other places, but... that's not docking my review at all, the reason why is because that sub was so good. At other restaurants that I get Italiansubs from, I ask for extra vinegar and sometimes I feel like they don't do it right, but when I ate this sub, I don't know manthere was something just so right about that vinegar. Another thing I really noticed was the bread, something tells me it wasfresh, like it was baked that day, The Bread had a crispiness to it, so when I bit into it, it wasn't soggy and it paired wellwith the moist insides. I cannot order from this place all the time, money issues and such, but when I order again I'mdefinitely picking it up, I'm eager to try the other items from this place. I recommend giving them a try for sure. Read more

Bread is the foundation for any great sub, and this place builds upon that greatness to as best a sub I've had anywhere.

This place, is one of the finest little restaurants in Long Branch. I can't say enough about the homemade quality, freshness &... portion size. Sally, Neil's wife -- a great cook in her own right, served me an unbelievably good Cubano sandwich (hard to findthis good), an Italian take on Mac n Cheese, a to die for meat & pea rice balls (the tomato sauce with it as a side, perfection)with "made there" ice tea. You absolutely MUST stop in, even if it's to pick up a bite on the run!! Read more

Absolutely LOVE this place and the food is delicious. I?ve been coming here for years and always get the best sandwiches. Only... reason for four stars instead of five is because of how much they have hiked up the prices recently. $40 for two subs is hard tojustify for as frequently as we used to go, but would definitely recommend if you?ve got a craving for a good sub!! neil's kitchen is hands down the best sandwich shop in the long branch area. i've tried a bunch of sandwiches from there and... they are all incredible and fresh. neil's definitely has my favorite cheesesteak in monmouth county too. the mac salad thatcomes w/ all the sandwiches is awesome, so peppery and light and delicious. i would also like to add that the owners are sosweet. they posted about a mac and cheese special on facebook and i commented about how i wanted one because i missed out lasttime. they saved me one and i was able to pick it up the next day. it was the best mac and cheese i've ever had. love neil's somuch!
