The place was very clean and fun. We loved the acai bowls they were very refreshing after the beach. The most important Fruits... were fresh and good portioned. I wish I could leave zero starts, but that?s not possible. The employees at Playa bowls Pier Village in Long Branch are... extremely rude, immature and have zero customer service skills. I have been a Playa bowl customer for years, and never had aproblem, until I went to this store in Long Branch NJ. The first visit had a long wait time, so the next time I went there, Idecided to order through the app. I get to the store 5 minutes after my pick up time, and my food only started being preparedafter I asked for it (mind you the pick up time through the app was 30min, but it actually took at least 45 minutes total). Thesecond episode was yesterday, when we arrived at the store about 15min before closing ( even though I never arrive at a storethat late, because of how rude the associates usually act, but it was 4th of July weekend, so I decided to stop by and get abowl). My partner waited and was ignored on the register for 5 min, until I lost my mind and had to go inside of the store (Iwas on the outside seats) and asked why nobody was taking our order, or why nobody couldn?t even acknowledge us, when they have3 people working behind that counter, and one the associate in a rude manner, told me she was finishing up something before shecould take care of me (fine, but tell me what is going on, don?t pretend I don?t exist, then tell me you did not see me before),the second employee instead of helping me, started mocking me, and laughing on my face, because I asked for service. There wasonly person who was helpful in that store, and it was this young, and nice lady who was trying to take our orders, which afterthinking about everything the employees could do to our food, we decided to not order anything and leave the store. I called and explain that they didn?t even add the things that come with the bowl or some of the things I added and my baby was... making noise in the background and after they take care of the problem a woman start talking about my baby making sounds in thebackground completely disrespectful. I am so tired of ordering my bowl through door dash and not getting what I paid for!! I always get extra Nutella in my bowl and... they never put extra or the banana that is suppose to come with it. I actually use to work for playabowls before so I know howit is suppose to be portion. This is the 3rd time now. Stop being lazy! Read more
I come here a couple times every week and they usually get my order right so I can?t complain, but there are just some times... where the quality isn?t there so it?s just frustrating given that I spend around $20 every week at this store and sometimes it?sreliable and sometimes it?s not. The main issue is the smoothies, a lot of times the smoothies are not fully blended so thereare chunks of fruit at the bottom of the cup that get stuck in the straw and are just unpleasant to have in my smoothie. Inaddition to that, there have been times where they forget to put a peanut butter drizzle on the cup. But there are also issueswith my oatmeal order, I will order an oatmeal bowl with half acai and half oatmeal ? expecting it to be half hot oatmeal andhalf acai. Unfortunately, the bowl will be overflowing with acai and contain barely any oatmeal ? along with the fact that theacai and oatmeal get mixed together (and does not taste very good). I don?t want to completely talk down upon this businessbecause there are times where the quality of the food is great, but it is just very inconsistent (and therefore frustrating as afrequent customer).
