I am a long time CBC customer. Tonight they closed at 9:00 pm. I haven?t been in in a while, and I wanted to quickly pop in an... see the flavors they currently have offered. I opened the door at 9:02 (there were still several people in line waiting to beserved) and an employee immediately yelled, ?We?re CLOSED!? Look, I get it, it?s Friday night, and they want to get home, butit was jarring and rude. So much so that a young girl (she was maybe 6 or 7) waiting in line said, ?It?s ok! They?re notclosed.? A different way to handle my arrival would have been, ?Welcome to Covered Bridge Creamery! We closed at 9:00 tonight.?That communicates the exact same message, and I?m not writing this review right now. Between the new limited hours and now therudeness of the staff, we will be taking our business elsewhere. Read more

love this place! their ice cream is delicious, and the overall vibe of the place is great, with pleasant indoor and outdoor... seating. they have some pretty good hot/iced drink options too. slight downside is that they don?t have any vegan sorbets, whichmy friend was hoping to try, so this is not the place to go if you?re vegan. otherwise, definitely visit! i forget the quirkynames of the ice creams, but i love their salted caramel flavor. Small cute local place. Good place to stop if you are walking the historic area of Long Grove. Covered Bridge around the corner.... Ice cream was tasty and good portions. Prices couldn?t be beat, way cheaper than Chicago. They do serve Metric and Dark Mattercoffee so thumbs up for that. Friendly staff. A few tables inside, a ton outside. Still bee season so plan for that if outside.Standard flavors, nothing too crazy, aside from their sorbet flavor?mango-carrot?an absolute must. Went here for ice cream but have also been for coffee and tea. They have about 12 different flavors of ice cream and we got... strawberry, blue moon and lemon raspberry sorbet and all were delicious. Their tea is freshly made when you order it and theyhave a small case of goodies from Morkes. Can't wait to go back again. Beautiful outdoor gazebo and patio area also. Read more
I visited on Aug 26. The young man did a fantastic job helping a long line of customers. He worked great with kids. And, he made... every customer feel cared about. The ice cream was good, but his customer service was the star of the show. He deserves a bonus! Read more
