Had a wonderful early dinner on the patio this evening with a dear friend. After reading a review praising their boasted chicken... and Detroit pizza, we ordered both and shared; it exceeded the hype. Food was delicious, the service from Tina was fantasticand, in contrast to a review I read that mentioned the owner, he stopped by to introduce himself, see how we were doing yetrespectful of our conversation. . . he waited until there was a lull in our conversation, and was very engaging. We have been here several times and the service has been lackluster of late. Today was the last time I will go there. Family of... 3 ordered 2 sandwiches and 3 salads during down time (ie 2 pm, not lunch or dinner). We got up after 45 minutes of waiting andwent to just pay for our drinks and go. We were told by the owner that he didn’t want to get “stuck” with our food becauseour food was ready. We were given a 50% off discount but it’s not about the money. It’s about the fact that we were forcedto take out food to go and service was deplorable. My wife has been in the industry for 20+ years and the excuse “we only haveone server” doesn’t apply with you have 3-5 people standing around. Look into food runners. We visit lincolnshire a few times a year for a relaxing "staycation". How we never knew about Joanie's is beyond me, but we... will make it a point to return every time from now on! The BROASTED CHICKEN is TO DIE FOR!!! We got the dinner and the broastedpotatoes were plentiful and addictively delicious! We had two "pick 2" orders ... my teens loved their Italian subs and eachordered a fabulous and large specialty "side" salad that could have been a meal in itself. The GM Scott came over and checkedon us and offered for us to try a new sauce on the chicken he's thinking of trying out. Brought us each a broasted wing with thesauce (spicy honey), and wow... blew us away! We can't wait to come back and try the pizza! This summer they will extend thedeck over the pond. This place hit on all cylinders from the first call when I tried to make reservations and they informed me they weren’t taking... them at the present time BUT the gentleman on the phone said he would be working that night and would be happy to accommodateour group. Sure enough, we scored a great table. Our server was very friendly, professional and knew the perfect balancebetween present and overbearing. The food was amazing! Perfectly cooked thin crust pizza with a sauce that was well balancedwith sweet and rich tang. The chicken was broasted heaven and paired with the potatoes, you have a perfect dinner. The pizza on point ... the boasted chicken was excellent.. the appetizer of the loaded potatoes was a meal in its self and... awesome.. 2.5 hr drive from Wisconsin was worth the trip....they hosted our car club event. The entire staff was awesome!!!Highly Highly recommend Read more
