Delicious Cesar salad and charcuterie board. The margarita would have been perfect, had it not been spillled on me. The server... apologized about spilling about 1/4 of the drink on me and the table, but did not even offer to get me a new drink or offeradditional napkins to help me clean up. We stayed at Zota for 3 nights and ate here several times. The buffet breakfast is good and economical. Dinner is very good. We... had the grouper, snapper, roasted chicken (with excellent risotto) and shrimp with grits. Pretty much tried everything on themenu. We tried to eat at this restaurant tonight after checking into the hotel. We started by sitting down at a table and being... promptly served the table next to ours salads. I said "umm I don't think these are ours" as the waiter dropping off the foodignored my words. We ended up handing them to the table next to us and laughing off the mistake. Then we waited..and waited..andwaited. Finally our waiter shows up and hurriedly dropped off some waters. Then never shows back up again. We finally flaggeddown a waiter and he randomly took our order. Then we waited..and waited..and waited again. Nothing. No drinks. No food. So Ifinally get out of my chair to find the waiter to tell him if our food has been put in the kitchen (which I doubt) to just goahead and cancel it. He was super rude to me and my family. I ask for the manager who was then also super rude and 100%unapologetic. If this was an actual luxury establishment they would have offered to at least send our food upstairs to our room?This is our first night at the hotel and instead of starting my vacation out with a nice meal, we are eating pretzels from thedownstairs snack room ???? Last minute audible during busy season on Longboat Key. We had a quick response for short notice reservations and then were... expertly greeted under the portico by valet. They told us how to bypass them which we did. We were seated immediately outside asrequested and treated to a wonderful night of service and food. Nicole was personable and responsive. There was value for priceand we were all happy with the experience. We?ll be sharing this find with family who visit Longboat Key bi-annually. They couldbenefit greatly by adding roadside signs and better directional lobby signs. Google says they?re in a Hilton and they?re in theZota Beach Resort. Perhaps that?s a recent development. I really enjoyed my dinning experience here. While I was hesitant due to the prices, I was not disappointed. The waitress was... very patient with my grandmother who has memory problems. The food was fantastic. Sadly they were out of lobster. I am not themost well traversed in the more fancy dinning so the waitress helped me make decisions with my meal. I was a little hesitant on coming to Viento for dinner due to the minimal reviews, but I?m so glad I was convinced otherwise!... 5-star service AND food. We had the chicken scaloppini, and salmon. Both delicious and super filling. We also had their drinkspecial (lemonade spiked with your choosing of liquor). A bit light on the liquor, but still yummy and they even brought out anextra shot of tequila on the house! Everyone was wearing masks and tables were spaced. Our waitress was attentive. Dinner was outstanding. Our server, Sabrina was great. Wonderful fresh warm bread to start the meal with choices of butter,... oil, and a sun dried tomato tapenade. Delicious.
