Early dinner on a Tuesday. Not many people at the time, about 4 o'clock. Greeted quickly. Smelled great. Wife had a burger and... seasoned fries. She said the burger was good, but didn't care for the seasoning on the fries... too sweet. I had a baked potatowith the fixings... I would have had another if I thought I would finish it. Staff is polite, food ready very quickly and overall very clean. Only suggestion for them would be to freshen up a little, like lighter paint and newer lighting. We have beenhere many times over the last 20 or so years and will keep coming back. Only regret this time was we didn't get something fromthe bakery, which is always awesome. Read more
They have the best burgers in town. The chicken-fried steak is amazing. They have a separate area with all the fixings so you... can customize your Burgers to your liking. They have the usual lettuce, tomatoes, onions plus other condiments to choose from.Best part is the free chili. They also have a great bakery. They offer some really great cookies, cakes and other sugarytreats. Staff is really great and the food always comes out fresh and hot. Even this past mother's day with this placeextremely packed the staff worked hard to get the orders out and every order came out correct. Do not eat here! If i could rate even lower I would.This is a patty from the meat department 2 days later in the fridge.The... workers did not care what they packed.the managers and owners are careless.Everyone be careful this place use to be the best intown and my go to for fresh meat.The owner told me to call the health department.I guess she knows this place isnt what it useto be and not ran right.I definitely will not be coming back.They can never get it together.just sad.The food has been makingpeople ill.Just read the newest reviews. We drive a 20 minute drive to come purchase some of the best pies and cookies ever. We love this establishment and continue to... come patronage because of the service the employees give us every single time we come in. We are always greeted with smiles andhellos. We feel very welcomed here. Even when the place is super busy and people are everywhere we still feel we get served at atimely manner. The Butcher Shop, in Longview, TX, is a long-standing East Texas favorite restaurant. It's known for its burgers and bakery, but... it also serves breakfast and dinner meals too. The hamburgers are made with fresh baked buns, and the restaurant prepares theirown patties. The patties are not pre-packaged unlike most restaurants. Customers can also purchase certain cuts of meat as wellas bacon. As a personal testimony, my favorite bakery item is the strawberry cream bar, and my husband loves the Italian creambar.
