My husband, two daughters, and I, went for a Saturday evening dinner. The service was really good. However, the food was... mediocre, at best. My husband and I, both had chicken fried steaks,and they were OK. The sides were not very good. Neither ofmy daughters ate their meals. It's disgusting is the direct quote from each of them..... Food was great. Service great. Chicken fried steak with white gravy was just right. Loaded baked potato ???? came out topped... with crisp fresh green onions, bacon bits, cheese and sour cream. House salad was fresh with ripe tomatoes ???? and tasty ranch.The Dr. Pepper Chocolate Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream did me in. David, our server did a fantastic job. Definitelywill return. That was 2 years ago when we moved to Longview from Dallas. Our first meal out wasHERE. Tonight I got her favourites. I am still masked. I have to stay WELL for my wife. We can't go out much these days. Buther favorites still taste GOOD. Thanks Take out service is great here. Manager is good. Staff is good. Food is good. Been arough 2 years. But we are back. Last year... I tried their NEW Supreme Salad combinations...just what I wanted. They prepare aClassic Cobb Salad and I added Grilled Chicken...and MORE vegetables. This was my first time here. I ordered the mango grilled chicken salad. It was great however I did not expect the honey sauce it... came with to be peppery (I think that is the right word). I have a sensitive mouth, so when I told our waitress Ali V, shesubstituted it no problem with their BLAT. Which was amazing and it definitely did not hurt my mouth as much. I felt so bad forhaving to send back the salad as it was definitely a decent size. She informed me it was no big deal. Definitely the best firstexperience at a restaurant ever. This was my first time here and I have to say I was extremely impressed. I'm vegetarian so I chose the vege platter. It's $9 and... you get 5 fixins. The fixins include all kinds of sides. I chose a house salad (most delicious ranch I've had in awhile), loadedbaked potato (minus bacon), steamed veges, Mac n cheese and tomato Basil soup. They also gave us 2 rolls when we first sat down.It's such a huge delicious amount of food. If I went to taco bell and ordered a black bean Crunchwrap Supreme and 2 beanburritos it would be about the same price and way less nutritious and flavorful. I was so full! Got the All you can eat fir 15.00. Only serve two things. Fish and french fries. Fries were very limp greasy fries. Fish was ok... but certainly not close to the best. Oh yeah they did give me two small hush puppies. Overall i simply thought it was terrible.The waitress was very sweet and the tea was very good. Read more
Recently visited for lunch. I arrived before the usual rush and was well catered. The food was good but a little on the skimpy... side. I was ready to leave when the noon groups arrived and had to wait close to fifteen minutes to check out because the waitstaff is now responsible for handling that process also. Maybe some additional help would be in order during this time periodsince people are usually on a tight schedule for lunch. Read more
