The BBQ here is delicious! The messy pig sandwich is enough to feed two people and the sausage is so good. Sides are great,... especially the okra and corn salad. Line can get long and seating can be limited. Skip the red velvet cake, it's dry and prettyflavorless. The Reese's peanut butter cupcake is the best dessert. 4 Rivers Smokehouse is successful because of the food. Here you can select their famous brisket "Moist" or "Lean." Lean is... pretty dry. You will need lots of their delicious BBQ sauce. Moist includes the fat that I like to cut away keeping the brisketperfect in my opinion. There are "premium" sides available, so check them out before settling for the other delicious sides. A"plate" can include two or three sides. The only negative is the terrible parking. The spaces seem to be so narrow, you maywant to park further from the restaurant. Seek out 4 Rivers where ever you are. I have reviewed Daytona Beach, one of myfavorites because of the location on the One Daytona marketplace. Read more
we have been in twice lately for take outs and the whole place seems out of sorts. Last night, We ordered a pound of beef... brisket and some sides. The brisket was horrible, as you can see in the pics, there is more fat than lean. I can not believethis was given to customers. We also got a side of cole slaw and the little cup was not even half full. Several weeks ago weordered a hundred dollar worth of take outs, arrived a half hour after the order was place, then had to wait another 45 minutesto receive our order. I ordered through UberEats, and I was really impressed. The food was made pretty quickly, and it was really hot and tasty even... by the time it delivered. The portions on the sides are kind of small for the price, but they are really good! Read more
The place is bright and cheery with a friendly and cheerful staff. You order like a cafeteria line and then finds a table.... Collect your own drink and plastic ware in the dining room. Better atmosphere than fast food, however I would not call it fine.Dining. The food is outstanding. They even have a variety of in-house sauce that I highly recommend. The cashier station was abottle neck and took 20 minutes standing in line to get my food. Read more
4 rivers specialty cakes!! They did an amazing job creating a custom cake for our gender reveal. I provided an inspiration... picture and they brought it to life! AND it was delicious!! Had a great visit with my son as a belated Valentine's lunch! Food was good. Although the sausage was a bit too spicy for me,... the lean brisket was very good and we ate outside on a beautiful, sunny, perfect Florida afternoon. I have been going to 4R since the first, little location on Fairbanks that you had to stand in line for outside many years ago.... Since then, I?ve been to about four other locations and I can say that they are extremely consistent with their great quality.I?ve also been to one of the meccas of BBQ in Austin, Texas and did the right-of-passage waiting in line for four hours atFranklin BBQ just to realize that 4Rivers is far better. I usually get the brisket (moist) sandwich with no bun and two sides -baked beans and cheese grits. This time, I decided to try the seasonal Pilgrim because I?m a big fan of the combination. It wasa nice sandwich. It wasn?t my favorite. I would like the stuffing to be a little more firm and the cranberry to be moreprevalent. I did like the texture and smoky taste of the turkey. But I?m giving the review a 5 because after trying BBQ andsides in countless locations across the US (and in some other countries which I don?t necessarily recommend.
