Reviews for Pho Chateau in Lorton, VA

I?m a huge fan Vietnam?s famed breakfast soup, but sadly this spot was pho-gettable. I?ve passed Pho Chateau many times, so I... figured I?d give it a try. I ordered the fried spring rolls and Ph?. My favorite spring rolls are from Vietnam, so I waslooking forward to these. Sadly, they were under seasoned and their n??c ch?m wasn?t enough to liven up the dish. Also, thespring rolls were too oily. I surmise the oil wasn?t hot enough and/or they didn?t let the spring rolls drain. As for the Ph?,I had #B89 (Well-Done Brisket, Fatty Brisket and Soft Tendon ? Ph? Chín, G?u, Gân). I asked them for no soft tendon and tojust add a little extra of the other meat. First, the dish came out with soft tendon, so I picked it out. My server saw me andwas apologetic about it. They brought me a small bowl of the other meats to add to my soup. The broth lacked the characteristicrichness and unctuousness you expect from Ph?. It was under seasoned as well. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the meatswere tender, so that was good. The restaurant itself was nice, clean, and inviting. I asked for more fish sauce and was given alittle dispenser with it. My server also brought me a caddy with different condiments because they knew I was looking toenhance/ improve the flavor of my food. That was nice. My server was great. They were very warm, answered questions I had aboutthe menu, checked in on me, and even engaged in light banter. The customer service here is good. I cannot recommend this placeon account of the quality of the food I had. Sadly for Pho Chateau, Northern Virginia is saturated with Vietnamese restaurantsand the competition is steep. Read more

Love this place. I have been here foe lunch and dinner, but I usually get take out when I'm running my errands, so I can enjoy... the food at home. My favorite dish is the grilled pork with vermicelli and spring rolls. The Banh Mi is also wonderful, eitherwith pork or beef. And nothing can beat Pho on a cold winter's day!! Read more

Delicious broth and the crispy spring rolls were nice and crisp. The sprouts we got looked a little lackluster and our crispy... spring rolls came without lettuce or pickled veggies on the plate contrary to what I?ve seen in other reviewers? photos. Butthose two issues aside, the food was good and the place seems to have a local following as it was steadily busy (for Covidstandards) and takeout orders also seemed to stream out at a steady pace. This is a review only of their vietnamese iced coffee. It was not made fresh and tastes terrible. $5+ for what tastes like... instant coffee mix. I'll try the Pho and some other items eventually since it's nearby. Read more
