I was not feeling well this Thanksgiving. So, for the very first time, I ordered out. I pre-ordered our Thanksgiving dinner... online and included full dinner for 5, plus apple pie, an order of corn bread, and extra rolls. Everything tasted homemade and,fresh and delicious. Creamy mashed potatoes, perfect turkey gravy, melt in your mouth turkey, tasty sweet potatoes and thecranberry sauce was out of this world. Also, staff was so kind yet efficient at pickup. At first impression, it was clean and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Our waiter, Ben, was amazing. It was a friend's... birthday, and his style of waiting was spot on. Professional, listened to her allergies, and mine with great understanding. Hequickly and efficiently handles our orders, our dinners, and dessert. The manager actually cooked our dishes, because of theallergies, and they were flawless. Flavorful, and perfectly cooked. All around, a wonderful dinner facilitated by an awesomestaff. Thank you. One of the worst dining experience I've ever had. I had to change my order twice because they didn't have the food I asked for.... I finally got tacos that were small and fishy smelling. My appetizers were served last-minute because it kept being bumped bythe kitchen and when we finally got them they were cold. The waitress was the only aspect that was good about the place. It's the best All American burgers and pies on the planet. Always quiet and peaceful. Inside or out in the patio. Great variety... of burgers and pies and everything in between. The sparrow walking by my burger and trying to steal a bite was a nice touch.The hardest part is deciding what slice of pie you want and then resist the urge to take a whole pie or fresh made cookies homefor later. Jeremiah was so kind and helpful, though they are clearly understaffed. HOWEVER, I ordered the fish and chips for $16.49 for... which I was given 2 tiny lumps of fish. The side of onion rings I ordered were $6.99 and had 6 tiny rings and a couple brokenchunks. (You can see how small when compared to the condiment containers in each) That is a dollar per tiny onion ring for thosekeeping track. It?s pretty easy to see why this place has been in business for so long I obviously love coming to new places and trying new... things, but today was a special treat rare is the occasion that I get to try bread right from the bakery that made it I stoppedin at Pollys by accident but the first thing I noticed for the delicious pies and the clientele because not only is it a bakerybut it?s a restaurant! they keep their menu pretty straight to the point but the flavor of the bread and the quality and thetexture is just amazing I had to try the Ryebread with some of their home churn butter it reminded me of the stuff I used to seeon TV when people actually made their butter? It was delicious the smooth creamy butter mixed in with the flavor of theRyebread made the 599 a pansy almost like I was ripping them off the staff was very friendly and the store was very clean thislooks like a wonderful place for an early dinner or an incredible breakfast but the next review is gonna be about the chocolatecream pie because I imagine that something that should be smoked in a pipe it?s so good!
