In LB to visit my brother and needed some lunch. My first option was closed until dinner, so I went to this little sushi place... in the same strip mall. It's an order at the counter and they deliver it to you kind of place. I ordered the Super Bento Boxwith a Sapporo of course... Lol Food was good and a reasonable price for what you get. It's was pretty empty when I got there, but hopping by the time I finished. I'd go again, it's a short walk from both the Best Western and Fairfield Inns on LosAlamitos. Read more

Don't come for sashimi or seaweed salad. Portions are small, sashimi was room temp, not that high of grade. This place is... better for casual lunch Read more

Bad experience. I dined in but all good was served in plastic container. Tempura was extremely hot and it burned a couple holes... of the plastic and I ate tempura with plastic wrapping sauce. I feel like I am going to get cancer after eating this. Food wasin big portion but not very careful made. Read more

It was empty for lunch. I had veggie sushi and it was decent for the price. Service was NOT GOOD and that's why I'm giving this... rating. I asked if I can have avocado on top and they said no and were trying to get me to order a roll that came with avocadoon top that had raw fish. I'm pregnant and i didn't want I order that because i can't really have raw fish. How hard was it forthem to add avocado to another roll and charge me a few dollars extra? Not coming back...there's another sushi place down thestreet. Read more

Authentic Japanese Restaurant! Although a friend recommended this place for a reasonably-priced Japanese restaurant in Los... Alamitos area, I came here with low expectations - the restaurant appeared to be a typical mom and pop-type of a restaurant, that looked nothing special from the outside. The interior of the restaurant appeared to be nothing special either, although itlooked clean and tidy, and spacious enough to host a small group party. I didn't expect a crowded restaurant on a Mondayevening; however, it was packed with people! We tried the following: Sushi a la Carte, Tuna Takaki Roll, Volcano Roll, and BeefUdon and shared them with four people. I normally prefer sashimi but I also enjoy perfectly balanced sushi and rolls. Wow!!!Talk about the quality of sushi! The sushi literally melted in my mouth! All were good but the octopus, eel, and salmon sushiwere incredibly yummy! My mouth was having a seafood party! Especially the octopus - I felt like it was alive and massaging mytongue! This is a must if you ever order a sushi plate. I don't know where they get their fish from, but the quality of fish wasdefinitely top notch. Volcano and Tuna Takagi rolls were spot on as well. The rolls were huge even for my big mouth and I hadtrouble swallowing them in one bite. The dark horse was the beef udon. The soup had unbelievable aroma of smoky beef flavor andthe udon itself was silky smooth and I could literally swallow it without chewing. I could not stop eating this one! Theservers and counter persons were all courteous and I liked the self serve counters of two different soy sauces, sriracha sauce, chopsticks, to-go boxes, and hot water station. Reportedly, the main chef is Japanese and apparently, that has something to dowith the quality of the food. If you are in the area and craving for authentic Japanese food, check this place out!
