Another Gem of a place! Hidden but great place to have a meal, the ambience just relaxes you. The staff is mostly friendly the... food is pretty good. We had granny?s fried chicken which tasted good but wish it was thicker or better yet a standard wholechicken breast instead of the thinner boneless breast filet. With a bit larger menu this place would be a 5 star! I recommendhaving lunch here, but I?m pretty sure dinner would be better with the tree lights on and cooler patio to eat in. Read more

My favorite restaurant and setting. The restaurant has a pond, beautiful arbors and foliage. The indoor seating is charming... with cute seating and great food. It is the perfect girlfriend getaway. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in this area. I love the overall decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, making... it feel like I am in a more intimate and cozy setting. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth it. We started off withthe shrimp cabo for appetizers and they provided us complimentary apple fritters and bread. I got the fish cake melt and myfamily members got granny's fried chicken (it was a sandwich though so not sure if that is a different menu item) and thegalveston pasta. Then we finished off with a banana foster. My only issue was that service was slow. My family members, both ofwhom visited this restaurant multiple times, mentioned that they're usually not this slow so I'm taking their word for it andguessing that they were understaffed at the moment. Shenandoah is a long established traditional restaurant serving everything from steak, fried pork chop, gumbo, to fried chicken.... Service was a little slow, but the comfort food made up for it. The fried pork chop was crispy on the outside and yet juicy onthe inside. They greet the table with apple fritters and "dinner rolls". The dinner rolls are more like a muffins but they arekind of dry, but the apple fritters are fluffy and is more like dessert than dinner breads. Read more
