We just recently started visiting sit-down dining experiences again as the Covid pandemic appears to be settling down. Knowing... it can be challenging to operate a nice restaurant in a small, sleepy town, our expectations are generally very forgiving. Butwe've been incredibly impressed with the service and food at Blue Window Bistro. So much so, we went for dinner twice in oneweek after having such a great experience on our first visit. Los Alamos is very lucky to have the Blue Window Bistro and basedon the crowds on a Wednesday and a Friday evening, the local residents agree. Read more

Went on a Thursday night, wasn't too busy. Ordered a New York strip and wife ordered the trout and shrimp meal. My steak was... cooked correctly, but the meat was low quality. I can easily get a higher quality steak from the grocery store. The trout wasjust a fillet, not a whole fish like the price point might have suggested, and badly overcooked. The three shrimp on the sidewere also overcooked to the point I couldn't put my fork in them. Our calamari appetizer and carrot cake dessert were delicious, but I couldn't get over the issues with the main given how much money we spent. We come about once a year for a dinner date andreally hope it's better next time. Read more

We were seated in a dark corner which was kind of off putting but otherwise the food was of good proportions and cooked well.... The enchiladas were delicious :) the Reuben was a little too salty for my taste but the coleslaw was tasty. Come here andsupport a local business :) Read more

A lovely little cafe with very friendly service and pretty good food. I had the blue corn enchiladas and wished the sauce had... been a bit more flavorful. My partner loved the salmon tacos with citrus-habanero sauce. The pinto beans were delicious, as wasthe artichoke dip appetizer and the limoncello cake. Definitely a great spot to stop for lunch. Decent place, but left some to be desired. French onion soup is one of the best we?ve had. The wellington bites were okay at... best, nothing to write home about. The egg rolls were a bit heavy on the beans, but enjoyable. The crab stack was not the best, being mostly soggy from the amount of toppings. The vegetables with the salmon are steamed, so it lacks any real flavor. Thesteak was good and the seafood pasta was ok. Service was good, with a great knowledge of the items on the menu and quick withrefills. Read more

Salmon is delicious and drinks were fun and unique. Steak frite salad is also delicious as well. The service is generally pretty... good, and they had half-off wine bottles when we went on a Wednesday. Cute and eclectic vibe. Read more

Hands down the best dining experience! I called to get a fast reservation for 5 on the patio. Maria was fantastic and said she?s... get our table ready as we walked over from the Manhattan Project. Maria seated us on the patio. The setting was quaint. Ourdaughter has a Gluten allergy. There is a possibility of cross contamination, but she was able to find an option on the menuthat was GF. Missy our server was great. The food was fantastic. Save room for dessert! The indoor portion of the restaurant wasnicely spaced to provide diners with space. Don?t miss out on this gem if you are in Los Alamos! Read more
