Decent green chili bagel with green chili cream cheese but the chili could have been much spicier.

As my 2-1/2 years old son and I meandered the streets of LA. We turn the corner and saw Ruby K?s. Thirsty we entered and upon... reviewing the menu I asked my son, ?doesn?t a slushy sound good?? At that exact moment an angry looking girl spins round andyells, ?We?re Closed!? I said thank you and we walked out. It was 2:17pm. There were plenty of customers inside and out. I mayhave failed to read the small handwritten sign stating the hours but certainly didn?t deserve the callus treatment. I live inthis community and won?t be back. Will not go if invited by friends or colleagues. Thanks again K?s. If your out of businessnext year we won?t miss you. Read more

Yum! Very busy, very fast, fresh. Friendly. This looks like the meeting place for everyone in town at least on a Saturday. Lox... and bagels good. Turkey sandwich delish. Side salad was good. I'd come back in a heart beat. Read more

Whatever I've said about jalapeno bagels being my favorites is long gone. I have found the perfect bagel, and that is the green... chile bagel, specifically from Ruby K's in Los Alamos. My intention was to stop in this cute little cafe for just a regularbagel and butter but after surveying the menus for a moment I realized I needed to try one of their signature sandwiches. Ichose to belly up to the "Up & Atom" (eggs and sausage topped with salsa and melted cheddar cheese on a green chile bagel,$5.69). The namesake derives from the town's popular Manhattan Project National Historical Park Visitor Center just across thestreet. Holy wowza, this bagel was DA BOMB (get it?). The bagel itself was SPICY, the egg super moist and the sausage burstingwith flavor. I loved the salsa and there was plenty of cheddar. I'm sure Ruby's got some other kickass goods on her menu but ifyou ask me, this sandwich has gotta be one of the best picks. It's just SO GOOOOD! Also, I appreciated the complementary orangemuffin. The sugar served as a great contrast to my spicy sammy. Read more

I haven?t been to Ruby K in sometime and in past it was great. Today I ordered a sandwich with a lettuce wrap. I open the... container and what i received i would have to wrap myself or eat as finger food. Really just a lettuce wrap ??????????? and itwasn?t wrapped just kinda smushed together haphazardly.
