IN COMPARISON TO DAVE'S; You get more out of Al's, but Dave's has tastier chicken. - Al's gives you more chicken definitely,... and the bread is much better, but Dave's chicken is saucier and probably brined longer. The fries are also just barely better. -HUGE points to Al's for having many different sauce options. The reason I still choose Al's over Dave's most days. - Betteratmosphere for sure. Read more

I am so happy that this place is close to me. I have a sudden craving for Hot Chicken wings for past 2 months and Al is life... saver! spice and sauce is good but I love that generous toast and pickles. What a great meal! There is a middle eastern grocerystore and I love shopping there while waiting for my chickens. Great place! Read more

I LOVE this place! They never disappoint. The chicken is actually hot when you want it hot. Both the regular fries and the curly... fries are bomb. They?ve added a few menu items (like boneless and regular wings) that give Wing Stop a run for its money. It?sright down the street from a Dave?s Hot Chicken and I really want to support this place because it?s awesome and Dave?s chickenis?not hot lol. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles. One request - bring back the collards! They were perfect! Read more

I use to like Dave?s hot chicken however this fried chicken sandwich is THE BEST IN LA!! I asked for extra coleslaw in the... sandwich and it was unbelievable! Crunchy, juicy and right amount of spicy! I ordered medium. I am definitely coming back hereagain instead of daves!! There is parking in the back also. For those wondering it?s also Halal. Read more

I?ve been to the other Al?s and wanted to check this one out because it was closer. Great spot, a lot bigger and a patio area... for outside seating. I ordered the half chicken at a medium level spice. At medium spice it was very delicious but got mesweating a lot. It was a very satisfying meal with a whole lot of fries. I had the ranch and honey sauces. The chicken wascooked perfectly but the exterior skin parts were a little hard but still overall great half chicken. Finished it off with aDiet Coke & I highly recommend this spot if you?re in town. Read more

Crispy not greasy. Even the breast is juicy. Not a fan of Nashville powdery spicy, so I always get the country. Al's honey... sauce. The waffles are amazing! Extremely sweet. Taste before dumping syrup. Mac n cheese is decent. Banana pudding delicious. Read more

Was so good! I had tried another hot chicken joint just up the street a few months prior that left something to be desired. Al's... was my 2nd hot chicken experience and it hit the trifecta delivering in freshness, value, and flavor (my kingdom for a spicymole sauce, guys!!). Criticisms? Could use more slaw and the sheer amount of fries are totally unnecessary as you'll need tosave room. I'm eager to go back and sample the menu. Read more

I wanted something super spicy and this place claims to have the most spicy chicken. In LA. The chicken was a bit too crispy for... my tastes. Also, the chicken sandwich was just 2 chicken tenders instead of a chicken breast. I may order from here again if Iam craving spicy food but otherwise I prefer other hot chicken places in LA Read more
