Everything was phenomenal!!! Staff was always attentive and listening so that the second you even mention to the other person... that you might need something they are right there to serve you. The food was delicious and there were plenty of healthyoptions. I will say the breakfast potato cubes were a little too salty, but the burger totally made up for that. What a great brunch! Simply walk down through the breezeway and Blue Jam Cafe is about in the middle. Our server sat us very... quickly outside with our mini poodle and we were shown the qr code and were able to order everything on our phones and pay aswell. I got the eggs benedict and added a little habanero sauce for a little kick and it was perfect. My friend got the steakhash and loved it. The portions are GENEROUS and the mimosas were nice too. I love Blu Jam and consider it to be a top LA brunch place. This was my first time visiting the DTLA location and any Blu Jam... post pandemic and it was disappointing. Here is what was great: the host is amazing: friendly and efficient. He is a greatbrand ambassador. The ambience is nice especially if you can sit in the patio area. There's great natural light. But whatdidn't work: It says on the website they use Yelp waitlist. They do not, at least not at the DTLA location. They use the QRcode scanning version of ordering but it makes for an awkward brunch experience. The food doesn't come out in a specific orderand the servers were too busy to address any of our questions. And depending on your mobile service we went through threephones to order before we could get the order through. My breakfast pasta wasn't served hot. And my coffee was also lukewarm. They don't serve coffee so you're expected to order another cup of coffee if you're done. I tried to ask the server a questionabout the French press and she said she came back and never did. Must park on the street or one of the surrounding lots whichcan easily add to the stress or $10. Open to hearing the best lots to park at! Read more
Just be aware that once you get seated you got to order online via QR code on table once you?re at your table because there... isn?t a waiter that will take your order. I didn?t know but my buddy told me after he got his food. Overall the foodpresentation is up there, I ordered the Power House with Egg whites, spinach and chicken(I?ve had other versions which were moreflavorful but it did the job, chicken was tender and it was a descent size portion), side of chicken sausage(tasted good, butabout average) & side of bacon(cooked perfectly and crispy). Definitely a great lunch spot but can get very very busy, lots ofgreat restaurants/cafe?s on the row to visit also. ***Update*** Had their Chilequiles(delicious & recommend) and vanillalatte(amazing coffee!). We went for a brunch with some friends to the one on Spring Street. It was pretty busy but we had our names on the waitlist and... got seated pretty quickly. I liked the contact less ordering option and it was very user friendly. The service (those whogreeted, seated, and helped with questions) was excellent. They were all so personable and kind which goes a long way. Food: Ihad the church French toast sticks and a breakfast hash. The French toast was sooo good!! Crunchy on the outside and the perfecttexture on the inside. Whatever batter they dip it in is really good! The hash on the other hand was not great. It lackedseasoning in all areas and so I found myself dumping salt and anything else on it. Overall the French toast options were so goodthat I'd definitely recommend this place! Read more
Cute cafe with very good breakfast! We had to wait quite a bit to be seated, but our food arrived quickly once seated. I had to... order the crunchy French toast, of course, which was amazing. I personally love how you order and pay off your phone, along withgetting everything you need yourself. It makes the whole process quick and easy. I would recommend reserving a spot on Yelpbefore heading there, just so you can virtually be on the wait list while driving there. Definitely recommend this place! Read more
