Had the broasted chicken and potatoes w/coleslaw. Chicken was excellent however I have never been more disappointed in sides in... my life than I was for this miserable non-seasoned, flavor lacking items passing as food. Not only were the potatoes raw insidebut had no batter, heck I would have settled for simple salt & pepper but it didn't have that. And the coleslaw tasted likecabbage dipped in milk. I frequent this place often because it's in my neighborhood and I believe in supporting localbusinesses but trust me I will not be ordering this off their happy hour menu again. PS. The calamari was fabulous just sad mymeal went down hill after that. Read more
The pasta bud was delicious. The Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Loved the Pesto pizza and the... BBQ chicken salad. The service was great, the waiter was attentive and friendly. I’ll most definitely come back! Read more
When we got to the restaurant and sat down they didn't care about us. we waited half an hour before they came to take the order.... Another half an hour to get the food with no fork and knife. We had the Pesto shrimp pizza and the calamari here for lunch. The pizza was amazing the calamari was alright not great not bad.... The Pesto sheep pizza was very cheesy, I loved that, had some pine nuts which added a unique flavor, the breading was sooooooogood. The shrimp tastes a little funny but was big plump and good. As for the sauce you can never go wrong with Pesto. They havea wide selection of food and drinks. Service is fantastic. The servers are all very kind and friendly. Love that. Food came outpretty quick but it was lunch might be different for dinner. Plenty of free parking on the back. There is also streetparking. All around a fantastic place for Italian cuisine. Went on a date with my lovely wife!!!! First date in a while and the other Italian place was closed and we drove by Charlie’s... Trio and we’re intrigued. It fit the bill of what we were looking for in a date spot so we headed in. The service was greatjust as you would expect from this type of establishment. We had hot chamomile tea and shared a chopped antipasto salad as anappetizer. We then ordered a pasta pasquali and A casalinga calzone respectively! My wife and I enjoy the food at Charlie's Trio in El Sereno they have another one in Alhambra. Atmosphere is nice and lively I... enjoy the slow braised short ribs they so good the meat was so favorable and very tender. The lasagna that my wife order wasreally good so much flavors in every bite. The service was incredible good. Read more
