Reviews for Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in Los Angeles, CA

After choosing Del Frisco's Double Eagle over Taylor's Steakhouse I felt like I made a great decision for my mother and sister... who flew in from the east coast. Sadly our dining experience was a major disappointment. I do want to preface my review isbased more on service, not food. For starters, there was no receptionist at the front desk where we waited 3-4 minutes untilsomeone acknowledged us. My sister and mom's dish were excellent, I ordered a Bone-In Prime Ribeye 22oz. I received a 16 ozRibeye (receipt pictured) instead, despite asking for this specifically. It would have been proper to repeat back the order toconfim the order's accuracy. During our service we noticed the booth behind us was receiving amazing service, were oftenvisited, and judging the guests interactions they were having an enjoyable experience, meanwhile at our table I needed to flagdown politely another employee to simply ask for more bread. I took time to enter some preferences on the actual reservation andsince this was my sister's first trip to Los Angeles, I asked for a great open view. What we received was an obstructive view asif she was at Fenway Park watching a baseball game shoved in a corner behind a pole next to the register. Judging from how manyother open tables were available space was not the issue. I could hear casual conversations from the serving station more thananything. My mother asked for a to-go box and was given just that and a bag at the table so we could bag it up ourselves like wewere at a self-checkout. I really was let down here on so many accounts. To top my evening off, I politely asked the front deskattendant who the manager was on file? She said, oh, that's Michael, as apparently I pulled her away from a personal call on hercell phone, in which she replied "sorry, baby" in her phone. Again, the food was great and would have received a 5-star review, but the entire experience left me with another impression of Double-Eagle based on aspects of cust Read more

Short wait time, attentive and friendly staff, and the steak was absolutely amazing! I would have liked to see wetnaps with the... starting bread since it was a bit sticky, but otherwise a very good experience! Read more

Overall pleasant dining experience. 45 day aged prime ribeye was excellent, Maine lobster was a bit salty for my taste, but... paired with steak it was fine. I highly recommend the black truffle butter topping on your steak! Sides were plentiful andfresh. We dined on a Tuesday and weren’t asked if we were celebrating anything special, it was the wife’s birthday. Wouldhave been nice to have the restaurant recognized this and make it extra special. Overall, food was on point and worth the $$$$!I would recommend and come back to this establishment. Read more

Nothing special, absolutely average food, super slow service. One service guy for 5 tables. Waiting for a drinking water more... than 30 min! I mean, really? He just cant make it! Cmon owners, hire more people then! Dont be so greedy! Some old dude barelybrought two ordered expressos from upstairs bar 25-30 min after ordering! And yes, file mignon is much more tasty in Mastro’s,thats for sure, and spinach too! I dont know why you’re prices so high after all ??? Read more

My friends and I ordered meatballs & oysters for appetizers and both were tasty. The bread was delicious too. We ordered rib... eye, salmon, broccoli, macaroni and cheese, mushrooms & mashed potatoes. When I say we were full prior to the main course ????and the main meal was delicious ???? needless to say, we had great leftovers. It was for a friends birthday and we had mousse, cheesecake and some type of buttermilk cake or something like that.. each was tasty. I'd definitely come again. Read more

We both had the wedge salad which had a light Bleu cheese dressing and small snippets of bacon. The house bread was even good,... drizzled in butter with small tinges of sweet and salty. Highly recommend the lobster Mac and cheese, it was crunchy, cheesy,noodles- though could have been creamier. For drinks I had an Añejo fashioned with tequila cinnamon and cardamom-extremely wellbalanced drink. 2 8 oz. Filets one with truffle butter and the other with peppercorn. I should have gotten the truffle butter itwas so fresh but not overpowering - it was insane. The butter cake came last and with Pecan ice cream and lathered in caramelsauce, it was divine. The ambience and decor is a bit hard to place, but the food is hard to beat. Read more
