This place is in top 10 favorite places to eat. I've been to multiple locations in California, one in Seattle, and Las Vegas.... Even though I've reviewed others, I have to show love to every location I go to. Every location I go to looks grand as you walkup. I got there are noon on a Friday and got seated right away. Their soup dumplings are so delicate and delicious. Be carefulwhen they are hot, the key is to bite a small hole and let the soup from the dumpling fall into your spoon. Blow and then eat itall together (at least that's how I eat it ????)! The braised beef soup is amazing! The beef basically melts in your mouth andthe broth is tasty, the green onions really add to the base. Lastly, Din Tai Fung has the best shrimp fried rice I've hadpersonally. The service is always great at any location I go to. I applaud Din Tai Fung for their consistency across locations.I've never questioned the quality at one location versus another. Well done! I'm a customer for life. ????? Read more

Finally made it to Din Tai Fung on a Sunday morning as soon as they opened. There was a line of folks waiting to get it even... before they opened ????????. But highly recommend getting there around opening - otherwise wait times can be ridiculous. It's alarge space with lots of seating. Very clean inside. Service was really good. Everyone explained things in detail, and alwayskept out water glasses full. Food was good. Best part is that they look almost exactly like the photos in their menu. It tastesgood, but I've had better dimsums at many mom and pop shops in San Francisco before. I think we liked the spicy wontons themost. Read more

This place was rather exceptional. The service was spot on and the environment was well lit and clean. Not a dry glass, not one... empty plate sitting for very long. They were very attentive to our needs. The flavors that came from each dish were amazing butthe show stopper was the soup. Oh my lord!!! The flavor was amazing and the meat just melted in your mouth. The soup dumplingswere really good as well!! Chicken fried rice, and the Ribs!!! Let me just end by saying we ate it all!! Read more

Din Tai Fung is an excellent place to have dumplings. Please be aware - this place is very popular and your wait time is likely... to be over an hour if you don't reserve a table ahead of time. Everything I had here was delicious. They even have a window tothe kitchen so you can watch how the food is prepared. I highly recommend the Xiao long bao dumplings of either variety -there's a reason those are the signature dish. There's also an assortment of tea to try - the peach tea was refreshing andtasty. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Drinks were never empty and servings were brought out to the table inwaves to prevent the table from becoming overcrowded. Don't forget to save room for dessert - the chocolate filled dumplingsare a real delight. Read more

Almost always need to come to Din Tai Fung when in LA. We went Saturday morning around 11am and only waited 10min. So... definitely recommend coming early to beat the line. For appetizers we got sweet pork ribs, seaweed tofu salad, and the tofunoodles salad. Definitely liked the tofu noodle salad the best. The pork ribs seemed a tad too sweet for me. For the soupdumplings, we got the pork and truffle mix dumplings, and the crab and pork mix dumplings. I liked the pork/truffle mixdumplings a lot, and didn’t really like the crab/pork mix. I should just stick to the plain pork soup dumplings or thepork/truffles mix next time! We got vegan mushroom buns - those were pretty yummy. Also ordered sautéed garlic spinach - wasa bit too oily. Nevertheless, will probably come back again and again since I do really like their soup dumplings. Just wishthey would expand to other cities outside of California! Read more
