I?ve typically loved the items and service at EarthBar locations in LA. Including this location in the past. I came here a month... ago to order a smoothie before a flight. First issue- the order was through a screen, when an employee was behind the counterwaiting for customers to enter orders. This seemed very inefficient when a human being could capably take an order. It was alsoa very disconnected customer service experience. Second issue- the quality was not great, most of the banana in the smoothie wasfrozen solid and not blended, so it was difficult to sip. When I went back, nobody was at the kiosk to fix this. This hashonestly decreased my motivation to get another smoothie from this location, when I used to look forward to it. I pretty much live at the airport and first off, they ALWAYS have a bad attitude. No matter the time of day. First thing in the... morning, midday after coffee, even when they?re closing (usually early). They never have any supplies to make fresh drinks. Theymake the acai bowls in bulk and give you like half the normal amount any other earthbar gives. And considering they charge moreat this location, it?s not worth it. At this time, I believe this is the only juice bar at LAX. Great for health-conscious travelers. If you think of their blends as... meals instead of drinks, the prices are much easier to swallow. You can also pick up their bottled cold pressed juices here(Total Greens, Liver Cleanse, Lemon Greens, Watermelon), as well as other drinks and food. I tried the slim down and I found itto be chalky. All the ingredients sound great but I guess the boost they added was a bit much so I unfortunately spent a lot forsomething I only took a few sips of. The smoothies here are out of this world, but based on my experience and other reviews, it looks like staffing leaves a lot to... be desired. There was only 1 employee behind the counter when we arrived, and she quickly said, "it's going to be at least 20minutes before I can get to you, since these (2) people were here first." After a long stressful morning, we had a 4 hour layover in LAX. We wanted some mimosas to relax for the rest of the trip. The... original cashier wasn't helpful at all when we asked if they had mimosas as she simply pointed to her right. Whatever that issupposed to mean. The guy that made the mimosas was great. They were, of course, very pricey. However, he gave us extra OJ andit came with quite a bit of champagne. We pulled out probably a good 2.5-3 glasses each with the extra champagne and OJ. Read more
