Delicious, huge, crispy pieces of cajun fish. The perfect bite of fish, tartar sauce, and pickled veg is so so good!!!

This place sits inside of RollyPop Sushi. If your order is to go, use the electronic kiosks at the front entrance to place your... order. Staying in? Walk to the front to be seated. They have menus for RollyPop, but just tell your waiter you want FishPop. You have only two selections: Fish and Chips or Shrimp and Chips spicy or regular. The Shrimp was good. Actual Prawns and thebatter wasn't heavy. The fish was good too, but different batter and cooked longer. The Chips are real potatoes. Thinkthicker In-n-Out fries. The spice is an Asian spice and decent, but not terribly spicy. The Slaw and Tartar sauce were notvery flavorful. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. They have a wheel they bring to yourtable. Spin it for a chance for free food or discount from your order. Read more

Fish was of very good quality! It came out nice and crispy on the outside with a deliciously moist interior. Didn't care much... for the fries as they came out a bit soggy and oily. Tartar sauce and Cole slaw were decent, definitely worth a try but I don'tknow if I'd come back again. Read more

This was THE BEST fish I've ever had. It was remarkable. There was this fluffyness to the meat and a delicate and delicious... texture to the fried skin that I've never experienced before! The fries were ESPECIALLY good! Fish tacos were also on point! Read more

Located in Rollypop, it's easy to miss this place if you're looking for fish and chips. We had to do a second look when we... entered and ask the staff behind the counter is we are in the right spot. We ordered the Classic fish and chips and the friedfish is not disappointing. The chips were a little sad and soggy for.my liking so we didn't finish it. The meal also came with acoleslaw which is OK. The fish and chips also came with tartar sauce which is not too bad and malt vinegar which is the sauce ofmy choice. The service is awesome though. So polite and genuine. Read more

This place is amazing! This is the go to spot if you want tasty, not overly greasy or salty, well balanced, amazing fried fish.... The portion is massive, so do not be thrown off by its price. The French fries are just the way I like them, with a little bitof crisp but still soft and chewy on the inside. Do not sleep on the shrimp po? boy either, the shrimp are juicy and flavorful.I tried their fish burger this weekend and it was a big tasty meal on its own. This is likely the best non beer batter orcornmeal fish I?ve ever had, and I?ve been in the Midwest, the south, and on the east coast. I drive about 30 minutes to gethere and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone wanting a seafood treat. Parking can be a little challenging, but Iusually circle the block once and find parking right in front. I?ve been here twice in the last month and will continue to makeit a part of my rotation. A bit surprised by the price but I said must be quality and taste. So when he called me that my order was ready he first shown... me the food to let me know which one was what I order and which one was my partners, but I was like why did he packed it one onesmall pizza box a two order. So I waited to eat it to taste and not impressed either I am sorry but this is not worth $44. Plusin a bad note the oil used spilled out of the box and into my shorts which got stained ???????? Have you heard about @fishpop.la yet??? Chef Joon is serving up some MASSIVE (and tasty) fish and chips down in Koreatown? This... was the crispiest and most flavorful fish and chips I have ever have. My first visit I grabbed the Joon on Fire and the Classic- both had a strong crunchy coating/fry and the freshest, flakiest yet moist fish on the inside. The Joon on Fire had more of acurry flavor/heat to it as well. Chef also makes his own sides including his tartare sauce which accompanied the fish so well.Last night I went back to try his new K-Joon Fried Shrimp Bowl. It comes with smashed fried potatoes, sweet corn, sausage andgarlic rice. The shrimp is cooked PERFECTLY and the garlic in the rice has just the right amount of flavor intensity to balancewell with the sweetness of the corn and the savory/spiciness of the sausage. I HIGHLY recommend checking him out - he's a oneman band doing amazing things with seafood! ? Read more
