One of the few best Mexican restaurants in LA. (I?m very picky) and prefer cooking my own but since my son?s hospital admission... at CHLA this is our new favorite spot. My favorite is the asada taco plate special (made with handmade tortillas, that?s aplus!) Their salsa is spot on! Perfect amount of heat ???????? I also recommend their aguas frescas specifically their Jamaica?it?s made fresh. 5+++ stars because they are polite and give exceptional service. I had 3 tacos Al pastor plate. Very good. Tortillas are made fresh and really gave good flavor. They even added a slice of... pineapple for my meat. Small area. TV's. Friendly staff. It's small so a rush crown will be tough. Read more
Sent my wife to grab some food here. The person serving was very rude when she asked questions and overcharged her for almost... every menu item (for example $8.5 for chips, salsa and guacamole when it is listed as $6 on the menu). My meal was good but hertacos, the meat was cold in the middle (not fully dethawed). Only one person serving, cooking and running the register. Verydisappointed, wont be going back ever again. 10/10 great little spot. The food was fantastic and very clearly made to order aka ask if you want to leave something out! The... chips are freshly made, the salsa is fantastic, and 100% try the hot salsa - it has a great kick and taste. The server/chef wasincredibly nice. If I lived in LA I would come here all the time. The food was very delicious. From the salsa to accompany the chips to the tacos. The ingredients were very fresh and the... tortillas were handmade. The protein was very flavorful. I ordered one of each. Both the horchata and the hibiscus drinks werevery good. Very authentic tasting food. Great customer service and friendly staff.
