Diner food, diner quality. I came in because of the high reviews and my experience was not consistent. My salmon kama was not a... collar but a salmon steak which I suspect had been cooked from frozen in the deep fryer. The frying oil tasted and smelledoff. The setting is a diner, fluorescent lights, booths and a long Formica counter. There were only a few customers but thestaff seem to know them so apparently this is a locals place. There's nothing wrong with any of that, I'm just reporting. Ithink that if I give my food a c minus that will be generous. Service was pleasant. Read more

If you stop to take a look you can see some history within the place as they have many regulars coming in and pictures hanged on... the walls during the 50's or way earlier then that. I would come back for the nice service and great food as well as theatmosphere. Read more

Service was good, but the place is dilapidated and the food is mediocre. Looks like an old diner with a oily carpet that should... have been changed ten years ago. the tempura was too heavy and greasy, the sushi rice was too cold and a bit stale. The sushifish was fine, but very much the standard fare. Read more

I ordered chicken udon. There wasn't much noodle in it, and the noodle was not tasty (I could feel the core of the noodle).... Chicken was not tasty, either. I ended up not eating everything. Oshinko or marinated vegetables tasted unusual, so I barely ateit. I grew up in Japan. I think the waiting person did a decent job, though. Read more

A true Hole in the Wall. Appearance of a 1950's Cafe. We had a very early lunch/dinner on Sunday. The service was a little slow... because we basically opened the restaurant, along with two older gentlemen, who ordered what appeared to be American Breakfast.Must be regulars. We ordered cold green tea ( Macha ), some sushi, and 5 different dinner items. The food was fantastic and theSushi delicious. Nothing left for take home. Super friendly waitstaff, great food, easy on the wallet. Read more

They really need to take a day and clean the whole restaurant. Very dirty and didn't even smell clean. Don't go before 11 if you... want sushi or sashimi. The fish was fresh. But everything else was pretty gross. Read more

Diner version of a sushi restaurant. We didn't sit at the sushi bar, but rather in one of the booths. We got the Spicy Tuna... roll, Yellowfin roll, Tuna roll, Salmon Skin Roll, and the Anago (Eel) Roll. The Anago was my favorite, but be careful as ithas thin bones in it. Miso soup was decent, but the salad wasn't my favorite -- it was sour and vinegary. Atmosphere was kindof weird; not many people. Server was nice. Time to get our food was a bit long, but I think there was only one chef. Alsogot Ramune (kind of like Sprite) and Calpico (kind of smooth yogurt-like) drinks, the Calpico was better. Good place forcheaper sushi instead of waiting the nearby long lines for expensive sushi. Read more
