This is a really cool diner in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. However, it isn't that large so if you come during a busy... time, you may have to wait a while. The diner is unique because they make their own homemade Pop-Tarts. They also have someinteresting donuts. I tried the strawberry almond donut, which was tasty, but a little bit messy to eat so I needed to eat itwith a fork and knife. The apple Pop-Tart was delicious, but not relatively filling. Took my mom for breakfast because she was in town and leaving right afterwards. It needed to be somewhere close and not packed... as a lot of places get busy on Sunday for breakfast. It’s been years since I’ve visited this place and what can Isay…it’s was such a good experience!! We parked on Los Angeles since we couldn’t find street parking on main..walked justa block to get here and were seated immediately! The staff was attentive, friendly..they checked in very often but notintrusive! Right after we sat down we ordered some home made pop tarts and they were buttery, sweet, flaky crust paired withcoffee very well. The music is what we would listen to and had us in a good mood…I seen the owner again what a hard workingwoman and so cool! For starters My niece got a pancake and apple juice! My mom and I chose from the weekend specials menu…wegot the chilaquiles over black beans with two poached eggs topped with cheese and crema and the breakfast burrito with salsaverde poured over it! The chilaquiles were amazing..sauce was spicy and I can handle spice but it was flavorful notoverwhelmingly spicy just right. The tortillas were fried perfectly still a bit crunchy even with the sauce on there and theblack beans below! The eggs still runny, over all my favorite. The burrito was filled with an egg scramble with mushrooms andcheese, sausage and potatoes. It was good as well! Had a great meal…and time! Be back next time. Read more

The wait staff was great. Food was good, but I felt the corned beef I got was lacking a bit. Hard to say exactly what. Maybe... both sides should have been grilled. The eggs were also a little over. The biscuit was great. Be sure to ask for jelly if theydidn't bring any. Read more

It’s been about five years since I’ve eaten here and I’m so glad it hasn’t closed. The food continues to be delicious... and well priced despite inflation. I got the 10¢bag and it was really yummy. The specials offered were yummy and the dessertstoo! Sad they did not have their red velvet cake. It used to be legendary! Read more

This place is definitely a throwback (even the customer service). Oldies playing, old school retro feel, with hardy comfort... breakfast choices. Best breakfast I have ever had in Downtown LA. They have homemade pop tarts as a special! Read more
