Must have: the naan with chicken liver mousse, squash, and the passion fruit sorbet — some of the cheapest items on the menu.... Their more expensive stuff isn’t worth the price. Service was interesting and there are lots of areas for improvement... oneperson in my party had their dish and utensils taken away while we were still eating; a drink order was forgotten; all the sidescame out before the mains did — my party ate each dish as they came out; server’s recommendation for how much to order cameout to be too much — there were three of us and we were recommended 6 dishes when 4 would have been plenty (rip wallet). I came here to celebrate my birthday and it was the right decision. I usually don’t like ordering fish at the restaurant... because it’s usually over cooked and can be dry but this place does it right. But my favorite dish here is the naan with thebone marrow sauce. The atmosphere is super nice not too loud. The server was so informative and helpful. Read more

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately this visit didn't quite measure up, but I would give 4.5 if I... could. We arrived approx. 10 mins prior to our reservation and were asked to wait at a table in the bar/lobby area. No problemthere, we were early after all. However we were given drink menus, but nobody ever came to take a drink order. We waited foraround 25 minutes total with no drinks and nobody acknowledging us. Finally our waiter noticed us and apologized and we wereseated right away. Once seated, everything was impeccable. They even gave us a table right in front of the kitchen with abeautiful view of the operation and a nice card congratulating us for the occasion we were celebrating. Service and staff wereall excellent. While the ambience and service we great the food is the real highlight here. Served family style yet stillelegant and refined. Sophisticated but not even a little bit pretentious. It's clear that a lot of thought has been put into thefood here. We had the salmon tartare for an appetizer. It was excellent, reminiscent of Asia but grounded in familiar flavors. For mains we had the Lamb and the Aged Duck. The Lamb was great but the Duck was exceptional. Their dry aging program isdefinitely working. I have tried duck all over the world including Peking in Beijing and this was the best I have ever had. Areal masterpiece. The wine list was good, perhaps a little light on "By the Glass" selections. However it was clear that thechoices that were available were all of high quality. I tried a few reds and both were excellent examples of their type. Read more

We ordered the Naan, Tomato tart, Spinach Bucatini, Sweet corn Anglioti, Chicken, Pork Chop, smashed potatoes with creme fresh,... brocolini and honey and milk for dessert. It was an amazing dining experience. We loved the vibe. Great service and the openkitchen allowed the integrated dining experience. The staff is friendly, service oriented, and knowledgeable about the dishes. We really enjoyed our dining.. we will come back again. Read more

I googled "must eat in Los Angeles" , Otium popped up, since I was around, just took chance to walk in without reservation, was... so happy they could get me a table. Naan with chicken liver mousse was the bright highlight of whole dinner. The first couplebites of salmon tartare were very sweet, then turned into very wasabi taste. Maybe it's the way it's supposed to be, otherwiseeven it was busy evening, I would prefer it could be mixed better. The beef short rib was delicious, but the veggies came withthe dish were so salty ( more than triple salt). The warm chocolate tart is not impressive, but this one only is my ownpreference. The cocktail, I ordered their signature one"Otium", it's so bitter with weird herb ???? taste, don't feel anyfreshness, really not impressive at all. At this level restaurant, I can only give 3 stars. Read more

The restaurant is beautiful and is a well oiled machine. The service is amazing and the food is so good. Really creative,... decadent dishes. Also they have an incredible wine selection; definitely talk to the Sommelier. We went for the valentine's settasting menu and it blew us away. I can't wait to come back and try a full menu Read more

They were closed during the pandemic but finally opened. If you’re looking for a restaurant with great interior and great... atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed. The menu changes often so don’t rely on the pictures you see on yelp. This place isdefinitely on the expensive end so if you’re looking for great value, this will not be your choice of restaurant. Great food with a happening atmosphere and an amazing waiter that helped make the night even better. It wasn't all rosey... unfortunately and there were some misses with the food we ordered hence the 4 rating (Google doesn't do half stars or else I'drank it 4.5 stars) but overall I would highly recommend it. The duck breast was on another level, best I've had hands down.Cocktails were good, my wife's favorite was the liver pate, no surprise there. Dessert was also very unique andamazing. Reservations aren't easy to come by but if you get in, don't pass the chance to go, you'll likely regret it. Read more
