Pocha LA is a good concept and seems to have tons of potential... It's just not there yet. We had several dishes here and... everything seemed like it just lacked flavor. This Mexican food didn't really have the spice or tangyness, or soul that goodMexican food should have. The braised brisket tacos were mushy and one note... The Chile Relleno tasted like plain veggies...And the La Burrita filling was ok but the crepe it was wrapped in was bland. Even the chips and salsas stood out because we hadto pay for it and the salsa portions were tiny. The chilaqiles were good but... it's chilaqiles. The style and concept thisrestaurant has seems so polished and nice, but the food needs to catch up to that. Might give this another try in the future,maybe it was just an off day. Read more
Good happy hour. Mon-Fri 3-6. Drink and food specials. Inside is bright, modern, with a homestyle decor. There's also a small... patio in the back. The food was good. Got to try a lot from the happy hour menu and I liked all of it. Service was good.There's a small parking lot in back or street parking within a block or two. Read more
The tacos are bomb even without the salsa! I had one each of mushrooms, asada/bisteck y otro de al pastor, which made me want to... come back to try something else, like the Pozole Rojo! & Guacamole and chips (everything delicious). The place is very nice, notenough staff BUT everyone is friendly and very attentive. I really hope that more people come and experience the food here. Read more
Love this place!!! Steve is the best, we go on Wednesdays cause he is there????So good and decadent, the food is made with love... you can tell, the location looks like a museum. I ordered the mole poblano, tostones and horchata. Everything tasted great. I loved the taste of the black beans, is hard to... find good beans in restaurants. My server was really nice. The restaurant is pretty big and they have parking in the back. I'lldefinitely be coming back to try other dishes. Read more
Based off the the food and interior decor I can really tell the owners take pride in what they do and make. The food may be a... little bit more than a food truck but much more effort is put into the recipe plus they have to pay bills and employees. Epxectto pay $15-$20 per person. Read more
A great place for a weekend brunch. Always glad to find a tasty restaurant that has vegan options. The vegan breakfast bowl and... the vegan chili relleno are quite good. They have a great little patio and a mariachi band was playing when I was there forbrunch. If you're going to for weekend brunch I recommend getting there early. There was a wait for a table as we were leaving.Cocktails are good too. Read more
It's a very nice and clean place. Our server was outstanding and explained the different coffee's to us. They also have... excellent tacos my daughter said. It was my first time along with my friend, my daughter has been there before. We sat outsideunder an umbrella, it was quaint with little plants all around.
